Trying to Remain Hopeful...

Okay. So let me start from the beginning. My last period ended around March 24th, I was told that meant I was probably about 8 weeks along when I first went to the doctor 2 weeks ago. Well then two weeks ago on Tuesday, I started spotting brown. Only when I wipe (gross sorry), but when I talked to the nurse she said she isn't too worried but decided to go ahead and have a pelvic exam and pap smear (it had been a while...)
Right before my PaP  (which was Monday) I started spotting some red. I expressed concern and they noted it and went on. My cervix was closed and they went ahead and gave me an ultrasound.
My ultrasound showed an empty sac, measuring at only 5.5wks. I talked to the doctor and she asked for new conception dates and I gave her a couple (I track). She said one of them matched, but told me about blighted ovum.... but she wanted me to do HCG tests just in case.
Monday I was at 19059
Thursday I was at 19756. Almost a 700 rise.
They called me today with this news. I am still spotting red and brown. And I'm very nauseous, have headaches, fatigue and tender breasts....

I guess all of this to say. I'm trying to remain hopeful. My next ultrasound is this Thursday...

My heart breaks for you. It'd only been a week since they told me I would miscarry, but I still haven't. Though the cramps started yesterday so I know it's happening soon. Take time to mourn momma... and know you aren't alone

Yes. I found out on Thursday I have a blighted ovum, in other words.... no baby.
It's been really rough. Like... non stop crying all day.
I really really hope you get better news than I did... I will keep you in my high thoughts and prayers.

Have you heard anything? I just had my last bloodwork on Friday. The hospital had called and booked me an ultrasound for the 9th (10 weeks), but my doctor hasn't told me a thing! I just want to know why she wanted it done sooner but yet not right away. Usually it's done t an ultrasound clinic at 12 weeks. I can't wait to find out what's going on. Hard to be excited because I don't want to get my hopes up.

I'm in a similar boat! I would've conceived April 14th. I had a neg prep test on the 27th and then regular period bleeding with a heavy flow. That Tuesday I tested again "just because" and it was positive! I've been spotting on and off ever since.

I did ClearBlue dating scan (mistake) and it only placed me at 2-3 weeks instead of 3+ (which it would've been 4 weeks from conception). I had my second blood test today. Hopefully I'll hear some news soon, but my doctor doesn't seem concerned at all. Booked me for a 12 week ultrasound. I wish I could get one sooner so use know what's going on!
