Twin pregnancy question?

Any mom's pregnant with twins? Did you experience this?

This is my second pregnancy, with my son I had no complications, no issues, no bleeding. The only thing that happened was preterm labor that they were able to stop. Now with this pregnancy I have completely opposite symptoms than my son and or about 6 days ago I began having brown discharge/mucus that was occasionally mixed with red blood. I went in and they checked my cervix (Which is closed and my uterus is big) today I got blood drawn so they could check for my hcg level, if it is high enough they are going to do an ultrasound to see what is going on.

So mom's who are pregnant with twins, did you experience anything like this?? (Fraternal twins run on my mom's side of the family so it's very possible to be having twins, just curious because I've seen a lot of stuff about brown discharge or spotting being common in twin pregnancy)
