I was prescribed a low dose of anxiety meds when my dh left in march for the army he had a 2 week training and at that time we were at a height of a pre-term deliveryC-section Delivery presentations Infant care following delivery due to all my complications from early on in the pg. I have also had reoccuring bladder and urinary infections so I have had to take back to back antibiotics. Everything I have taken has been safe for the baby. Just think back to when you are in labor I got pain medication before my epidural and my kids are all testing above average so they obvioulsy have no affect on the babies if prescribed correctly and taken correctly. Think about it but remember it's different for everyone. I'm not in your shoes if you think you can't do it then just take tylenol! I hope you feel better soon
I think a lot of doctors are pill happy. When I was dealing with migraines my doctor was out of town so one of the other dr.s in his practice prescribed me tylenol with codene. When my OB came back he put me on actual migraine meds, not a narcotic that does NOTHING but make me loopy.
I agree that you should try and bear through the pain, DF is a recovering addict and I know how just one pill can ruin all your hard work.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
I am going to just bear through it, I really don't care and that is what I already decided to do. I appreciate your answering me girls...you always do.
14 years ago i was pregnant and inpatient in the hospital. I had double pneumonia. It was very painful and they gave me shots of demoral (sp?) for the pain. My pregnancy continued thereafter...I was about 5 months at the time. I had a baby and he was fine and he's now 14 and still just fine. No ill effects from the demoral. In fact..now taht i think of it, while in L&D with him they gave me demoral to take the edge off the contractions before the epidural was put in.
