All my pants are tight, so I need to go out and get me some maternity clothes too. I am 12 weeks today I think it is still early for me but at the same time I am I guess bloated all the time so I have a belly already.
I am 10 weeks and I am able to wear some of my jeans still but I have to keep them pretty low which makes my butt look like I am wearing a saggy diaper lol.
I bought some maternity jeans the other day but I am still a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys too small for them. I was so frustrated when I was buying the jeans because I found a style I really like but the medium was too small in the thighs and the large is too big in the hips. I got the large in hopes that they will fit eventually.
I'm only 8 weeks and my pants are already snug...yet I've lost three pounds! I had to leave my pants unbuttoned all day yesterday at work. It seems extremely early to me...but I'm just guessing it's because 1) it's my third pregnancy and 2) I'm older this time, so maybe everything is just not as "taute" as it used to be and stretches out easier...lol. I seem to be much gassier (sorry TMI) this time than before...I feel really bloated. So I'm sure that's it. And, like AP said - even if I can get the pants hooked, anything tight on my stomach is VERY irritating!
I am almost 9 weeks and I went and bought some maternity clothes the other day I am not wearing them yet but I cant wear my skinny jeans anymore anything restricting just irritates the heck out of me - we had a christmas party for work and all of my co-workers said that I have a little bump already - isnt it to soon - I can definately tell I am bigger and so can my husband...I really wanted to keep my pregnancy on the down low for a while longer since my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage but my husband says I am not going to be able to hide it much longer - so i guess I am telling my family next week at our christmas get together
I just about have to buy some bigger clothes. I'm so bloated all the time and tight pants are really uncomfortable! I think we will tell our families at christmas time even though i will be one day of ten weeks. When is everyone else telling their families?
I don't want to buy maternity pants yet because I know they wont fit after a little while. So I'm wearing my "fat" pants and they are getting pretty tight and yes they bug me soo much on my belly its soo uncomfortable.
I just went into maternity pants/shirts (fitted ones) yesterday. I am 12w/4days. I can still get into my regular jeans but the button and zipper squeeze my belly when I sit. Maternity jeans - the ones designed for all 9 months with the lower softer band are awesome. They sell them everywhere now from target, motherhood to old navy. My husband and I went shopping today and bought my Christmas presents - maternity clothes!!!
I wore a pair of my sisters old maternity pants today. They fit me really well, I think I popped out a lot in the last day or so. The only thing is is that they are the full panel kind and my belly was SOOO itchy from them.
Hey girl!! I just bought some, this past weekend... My new all-time favorite store on the planet: ROSS!!! holy cow, i had no idea they had maternity clothes---and there were a ton of ones that were actually cute and that I can wear now, that don't make me look goofy. Really adorable and they don't even look like maternity clothes!
And can we say cheap? I got 5 pairs of pants, 1 pair of cropped leggings, 2 camis, and 17 shirts... and I only spent like $200!! And all but 2 shirts I will be able to wear at 9 months.
I heart Ross... I'm going to hit up a couple of other ones around town to see if I can find more goodies.
Oh, and just a tip----for jeans, I had just purchased a new pair of jeans for a trip to Montana (the ahem, baby makin' trip), and they actually are the most comfortable jeans I have now----they are really low rise and sit on my hips so there is no constriction on my belly, plus they are thin and kinda stretchy (not straight up stretch jeans though). I will look and see exactly what style they are, but I got them from Charlotte Russe.
They have all manner of sizes, so don't worry, they aren't as "Juniors" as you think. I love shopping there, they always have great low-rise trousers and such. In addition, their camis are GREAT, they have every color, and they are like $6 depending on the current sale. I've got nearly a dozen of them and they come in handy for making sure my emerging stomach is covered regardless of what I'm wearing.
oh, forgot to add----all the pants i got at Ross are UNDERBELLY! Woohoo!!! I hate the over-the-belly or mid-belly kind, they are so annoying and look goofy, I feel like such a dork in them. But they can be hard to find, so it was sooo nice finding so many underbelly style maternity pants at Ross.
Ohhh, I will have to try TJ Maxx I never knew they had maternity. That's awesome if they do. We have NO maternity stores around here except for a tiny selection at Old Navy, Target and Kohls, and I mean tiny.
All Ross stores have maternity, I don't know about Marshall's, and for TJ Maxx the one I went to Wednesday didn't carry maternity, but someone else told me they got maternity clothes at TJ Maxx, so it must just be some of them---hit or miss. I'm down in Florida, so it could all be regional too.
Rose, I'm with you on the Target selection---I've been unimpressed. In case you were talking about not having heard of Charlotte Russe, it's a store in the malls here. I believe you can shop their clothes online too, if you don't have them there. The jeans I referred to before are the Ruby style. They are incredibly comfortable.
Jess motherhood and mimi maternity and old navy have the best selsction in clothes and they last they are not junk. Also you can go online and find stores to order from! How are you doing and feeling?
Oh Jess I'm the total opposite I hate under the belly jeans I feel like I'm hanging out I love the panel jeans! We don't have a ross here. It sounds cool though!
im wearing baggy clothes and maternity clothes im rather depressed about how much i have put on already without a bump to show for it all so i feel more comfortable in them
So I decided to take the hour and a half drive out to motherhood maternity yesterday and I am SOOO glad I did. I got their secret belly fit maternity jeans and they are the most comfy things I have ever worn. The panel is so thin and soft and that stupid line doesn't show under your shirts. The legs have a good amount of stretch in them too, they were only 24 bucks!
I also got a few shirts there too, most of the shirts are expensive but if you look on the clearance racks you can find some awesome deals.
Hey Gr me too I love my jeans I'm getting more. Yes their shirts are expensive but I got a gorgeous sweater on sale for 20 bucks. I def need to get more I love their maternity underwear. Very comfy. How are you feeling I'm huge!
AP- I am feeling a lot better except for the heartburn. I am getting pretty big too, there is no hiding my belly anymore.
I go for an appointment tomorrow and I get another u/s, I am nervous to see how much weight I have gained. So far it is only 1/2 a pound but I'm sure I have packed on a good amount since my last visit.
I need to get a new battery in my scale so I can monitor my weight gain in between appointments. I am already a little overweight so I cant afford to gain too much.
i wanna start wearing maternity clothes so bad. But i dont have a belly for it yet. My jeans are all too tight...mostly in the legs, butt, and belly is just bloated. Im getting depressed cuz im getting fat not pregnant looking.... im almost 11 wks and want a belly already lol
Hiya, Princess!! I'm doing good---I just feel enormous!!! I've put on like 8 pounds I think. Probably more, who knows. I think it's some cruel twist of fate that we all have to deal with holiday weight gain in our first trimester... when everyone is going "ooooh, you're only supposed to gain 5 pounds!!" BLAH!!
I hate it. I feel guilty. And soooo unsexy... But i seriously have NOT had the energy for the gym. I can't help it, Lord knows I've tried. I'm starting to do better some days, as far as exhaustion, but it's still rough. I hope to start back at the gym this week or next, if I can swing it. My son is at his father's this week, so maybe that'll help.
And I'm pretty much resigned to maternity and transition clothes now. Other than my Ruby style jeans from Charlotte Russe, I don't even try to wear my pre-maternity pants anymore. Maybe once I get back in the gym, I'll at least get some shape and tone back, tighten up my obliques and arms and legs/hips.
Who has had luck finding GI-NORMOUS bras? Anyone? Please?? I need minimum 34DD, probably cup size bigger. I've got 1 bra that sorta fits... and that's about it.
Stormy - don't sweat it too much, babe. It's probably the most widely held, secret loathing of the first trimester. First trimester, you don't look pregnant, you just look and feel "fat"... part of it is that your uterus is growing and at first, your "innards" (aka intestines and other organs) are just getting pushed up out of the space that your uterus is now taking (except your bladder which gets squished down---oh the irony), so it's not even all attributable to bloating... I have another friend who is about 10 wks ahead of me with her first and she would cry about not looking pregnant, and instead just looking like she had a beer gut and a fat face. So while it does suck (tremendously), you are not alone!!
And if you want to start wearing maternity---DO IT! I finally gave in and it is greatly liberating. Even though I don't have a "belly", it sure looks like it when i let it all hang out, lol. And it's a lot more comfortable than my pre-maternity clothes. Try Ross---they have a lot of "transitional-style" maternity clothes. Where it's not just a big tent, it's got tons of room and fabric but has the elastic "sweater" type waist... i see a ton of non-pregnant girls and women wearing the same styles. Just looks like a baggy knit blouse. Great for hiding bloating. ;-)
Hey Jess ya me too I have no energy for the gym at all. Omg b's mine went up a size also I'm a 34 c now! I was a b. I can't wear regular panites or jeans or shirts all maternity. I don't care they are cute and comfy. Our babies are going to be so cute they are so worth all the weight gain. Are you going to get a 4 d u/s at the end of your pg it's like 100 bucks but it's worth it. I'm going to. How are you feeling food wise I can't stop eating and I don't crave just one food I want them all. My craving now is hawiian punch! Ha go figure I have so much fluids you would think I was dehydrated. What do you think you are having? I think I'm still having a girl but I really don't care as long as the baby is healthy! It was so good to hear from you I will ttyl.......
AP!!! Oh my GOSH!! Guess what stinkin' totally unnatural bra size I am wearing!!
THIRTY-FOUR TRIPLE D... AKA "F".
It took about 35 stores to find one, but I'm in heaven!! LOL
I finally found it some at some outlet store (I can't even remember which one) at an outlet mall 100 miles from home. HAHA! And only 2 of the 4 styles I found them in looked right. The others looked like Madonna cone-boobs, really weird looking.
I tell you what, they better not grow much more. I don't think anyone makes 'G's...
Jess omg you are so lucky that is a gift!!!! I cant' wait to start breast feeding I'm thinking probably d cup! "Wooo hoooo! Ha. I'm such a dork. Ya no you will have to have them custom made. Wow you are my new hero you go girl!!!!! LOL
AP, seriously, though----that's not supposed to happen, is it? I mean, you are supposed to grow like a cup size... I've grown three and i'm only 3 months pregnant.
I was a small "A" and now I can fill out my "A". On the other end of the spectrum but a little sad! When I started breastfeeding my daughter I got to a full "C". That felt awkward...
Hey all, just thought I'd chime in. I got giftcards to KOHL's for Christmas, went and shopped their clearance rack for summer clothes (since I'm due in late July/August), and got a pair of capris and 3 shirts for less than $12.00!! No lie, the most expensive item was $3.60 and I think I used a 15% off coupon, too. ; )
True. their selection is not large, but I was very happy with what I got. Now is the time to buy for summer at deep discounts!
