Anyone else getting Charlie horses?

OH my God, talk about one of the worst pains ever! I haven't had them since I was pregnant with Noah but I have started getting them again. I usually only get Charlie horses when I am sleeping but I just got one sooo bad. I had my feet propped up because my legs and ankles look like tree trunks today and all of a sudden my leg cramped so bad. I looked down at my feet and my toes were all crooked and stuck, ugh it hurt like h*ll .
Anyone else getting them? Is there anyway to prevent them other than upping my potassium, I already eat bananas.

I have had them randomly at night, during my 2nd and now 3rd trimester. I found that if I drink a glass of water my cramp releases almost immediately.

I wouldn't drink too much of it though since tonic water does contain a small amount of quinine.

I get the leg cramping too - from my toes to my hips and everything inbetween.  I am taking magnesium and calcium, bananas before bed and acupuncture.  The combo of all three has really helped.

I get them at night when I am sleeping and they wake me up - mostly in my calves - I think that stretching just before bed is the best way to prevent them

I've been getting them too.  The only time in my life I've ever got them is when I'm pregnant; I agree, carebear, I wonder why??
I try to eat a banana everyday, guess i'm gonna have to start eating TWO. = )

I don't get charlie horses but what's driving me nuts is the fact that my arms, hands and hips have been going numb quickly at night.  I toss and turn much of the night because of the pins and needles feeling.

Me too! I don't remember them 5 years ago with my daughter...but this time...sooooooo painful! I find if while I am sleeping, wake up, stay in bed and stretch my legs out that instantly my calves start screaming and it hurts so badly...I wonder why this seems to be common in pregnancy? But yes, I'm with you all!!!
