They say it is a sign of reflux, which Colter has really bad, but is on meds and still does it all the time. Seems to me that all our little guys and girls are doing it and are all around the same age, so it must be just fine. Don't ya just love it when they wake up and you pick them up and they arch so much and stick their little butts all the way out?? Cracks me up every time!
I find Kaylee is doing this alot more now as well. When I go to lay her down if she's laying in my arms she arches her back as well as her head so i have to wait for her to straighten out before i lay her down or her neck will be all twisted, I find if i go to put her in her car seat she does the same thing. It worried me for a while, but it doesn't seem to bother her.
Cash does the same thing as JT - its when he has something he can put his feet on. His bouncy seat has a vibrator on it, so its hard plastic and he uses that to push up with. He also has always done it when he is asleep and I move him. I agree eternidad - i think its just who they are - excited and curious little boogers! :-)
I feel better now! Thanks ladies!!
JT has recently started arching his back and he does it whenever he has his feet on something he can push his legs up on. He also does it when he is asleep and I am moving him and he has done that since birth.
James also does it a lot, I think that sometimes is who they are. He is been doing this since the first day he was born, so I don't know if is acid reflux or just who he is.
Yeah - Cash does it when I pick him up when asleep to or when just waking up and I really do think that it is just stretching then, but when he does it randomly in his bouncy seat it kinda worries me.
Jack arches his back often. My doctor said this could be a sign of acid reflux - though he has no other signs of it - or he might just be stretching. I think he's just stretching.
He arches his back and squirms around with his chest out and arms back like a chicken when I feed him sometimes...and if he falls asleep on me and I move him to his bassinet, he'll make the same motion in mid air in my hands...same happens when I take him out of his car seat when he's asleep. I was worried about it but he doesn't seem to be in pain. Who knows!?! Weird little guys! Ha Ha. Love them!
