Hello newby here!!

Hi All,
I'm new to this site but to be honest I've visited the miscariage site many times.  

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and scared to death following 4 previous miscarriages. I feel different this time for some reason which is why I'm saying hello on here instead and pray that this time it will happen.

my first miscarriage was premature labour at 21weeks, baby thomas. my second angel was 15 weeks, baby grace. my third angel was 8 weeks. the last two miscarriages were very early 6 and 7 weeks. the injection is progestrone i think and i have ti inject every day but will find out more on the 11th december when i see my ob again.

Congrats on your pg. Sorry about your past m/cs. I'm also in the same position afraid so scared to death of losing this baby it becomes overwhelming all I can suggest is to try to relax. It's the waiting that is the hardest. When are you due? How are you feeling physically? Have you had your first prenatal visit? Best of luck to you!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks again for all your lovely welcome comments.

The good news is...so far so good and I go for my first scan tomorrow. They are going to scan me every week from here on in.

I've had the full spectrum of first trimester goodies; nose bleeds, bleeding gums, very sore breasts and nausea and sickness 24/7...but I'm hoping this is a good sign!!! My stomach seems to be growing at an alarming rate too.  

I've never experinced all this so I am praying tomorrow will confirm what I hope to be right....!!!

what injections are you starting Dec. 11?  Is it heprin?  How late were your m/c's?  I have had 5 m/c's too but they were all between weeks 8 - 10.

hi EL18,

i have also had 5 late miscarriages but feel really different this time. they are also scanning me every two weeks and commenced me on baby asprin. i will also start injections daily as from 11th decemeber. if they wont check your hcg levels get some cheap mild pregnancy tests of ebay and the test by know should stay strong and show straight away if your hcg is at the level it should. tip from midwife and gives you lots of reassurance.

Thank you so much for the nice welcome and positive wishes.

Because I have had 4 miscarriages, I am now under a Miscarriage Dr at the hospital and I am due to have scans every week starting in 2 weeks time. I would have preferred HCG tests leading up to the scans though as everytime I have miscarried my levels have gone down and I've then lost the babies about 2=4 weeks later when the miscarriage becomes complete.  Because of this I am constantly worrying that my breasts are not as sore or the cramping is me miscarriaging again....it's horrible. At my hospital they won't give me progesterone either as they want to keep everything natural (I'm in the UK).

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Is your doctor going to be checking your hormones to make sure everything is going well?! Low progesterone is one reason that women miscarry so if your progesterone is low you can take supplements!

Congratulations! Like the other ladies have said try to stay positive and keep praying! When are you due?

El 18 ~ My Mother suffered through 3 M/C.  When I told her that I was worried about suffering another miscarriage, she told me that she felt different when she was pregnant with her two successful pregnancies.  Trust your instincts!  They are a good sign!  When is your due date? I'm about 5 and 1/2 Weeks too!  I'm due July 17th.

Keep on praying and being positive! It's all you can do!

Many of us here know exactly how you feel and have suffered through miscarriages... and we can't help to be anxious for the 1st trimester to be over...

Please keep us posted on any new developments and don't make the same mistake I did: don't start googling stuff that is going to make you freak out more! The internet is full of crazy stories that can cause more anxiety than reassurance.
