I'm a high risk pg.

I was diagnosed last week as having a high risk pg. A month ago I hemorraged and they found a blood clott. I was ;put on progesterone and put on bed rest and pelvic rest. My dr told me that it should dissolve. It's been a month and it hasn't so now I have been referred over to a high risk pregnancy specialist. I have what is called a Subchroniac Hematoma it is 10 centimeters big and right by my low lying placenta. My question is does anyone else in the forum have the same problem?
Thanks,
AP

Kupi- You are very sweet. Thank you. I do I love my kids and I know that from having them I have learned so much and the one thing I know is they need me and so does my dh. I have to be strong for everyone included. I love my baby I'm pg with and just knowing I'm taking care of myself even mentally will help him. The stress will be relieved and I will be relaxed. I do I hope you enjoy every single minute it's truly an amazing and beautiful experience. I wish you and your baby and dh the best. I hope you have a nice and healthy pg and a whonderful delivery. Thanks for your support it means the world.

etemidad200- Aww you will be fine. I'm sure reading about my pg doesn't help. Just know I'm a low percent of women whose bleeds worsen instead of dissolving. I'm so excited for you I remember when I was pg with my son(oldest) I was finding out this week 8 yrs ago I was pg with him. I can't believe how the time flies. I loved my pg with him I mean I had bleeding at 14 wks from having placenta previa, My grandmother died and I had a huge baby but it was awesome. I never felt anything in my life like I did when he was put in my arms. I still get tears in my eyes thinking about him. I remember the songs on the radio and the weather when I brought him home fromt he hosp. I came home on a friday. He was beautiful and perfect I'm not just saying that he was gorgeous. I love my lil man so much. He just capitvates your heart. Your first is always your heart taker. I love my girls believe me but your 1st is the one you share the experience with. My babies are so big now. Yikes. I could go on all day. I'm sorry. I try to stay low key about them but I couldn't help but to share how exciting having your first baby is. Enjoy every moment. I did and I'm so grateful. My bond with my son is unbreakable. My girls are just like me the older one is my spit fire side and my baby is my laid back and relaxed side. They are cute....I wish you the best enjoy your pg. Best wishes to you and baby..

AP- I am doing well, so far everything seems to be going well, belly and baby are growing fine. Next week have a doc apoit and probably will schedule my 20 week u/s.
Hoping everything will kep well, this is my first pregnancy and everything is nerve wrecking. Worry about every little pain, every little movement, of course the fact it took me  long time and many fertility treatments to get here does not help at all my worries.

Tasia- I'm assuming my baby is okay I haven't heard the hb since last wk and with my pg anything can happen. I will get checked out next wk as soon as I can figure out what is going on with my new dr etc. Thanks for asking!

Kuchis- I'm 16 wks and 4 days. At about 11 wks I was diagnosed with a bleed and at that point they put me on progesterone vag suppositories and put on bed rest and pelvic rest. In 3 wks with bleeding daily it was confirmed that the bleed grew at that point my obgyn diagnosed me as high risk and sent me to a specialist. My placenta is low and the position of the hematoma could cause my placenta to rupture not move or the hematoma could cause an infection or my membranes to rupture. I'm playing the wating game per the specialitsts orders that is what she told me to do. That is a part of the reason why I found a new hosp and dr but now that dr's nurse made my app for march 4th. I have been monitored every week for 5 wks I can't wait that long and how can she assess my case without my records. Makes no sense. So I will just keep trucking until I can find and get the medical attention I deserve. Thanks for asking. I hope yours dissolves how far along are you?

Hi, oh god, that is hard! try to relax and take in some good movies and watch TV. I know its easier said than done. I'm not sure I have the Subchroniac hematoma, but I do have a 8cm hematoma high up in the wall of my uterus, so the doc said she'll have to monitor my case closely for any problems .. such as the hematoma growing or placenta changing positions (currently, placenta is in front of the baby, so i can't feel the kicks even).

Hopefully, all the bed rest will help and dissolve the hematoma, praying for you and your little one ... keep your chin up .. hopefully, everything turns out for the better.

BTW, how far along are you?

GR- I loved my ob and he reffered me over to a high risk pg dr and that is the dr I don't like. I have to see a high risk dr but it doesn't have to be her. The new hosp I picked has a process in making new apps so I should hear back today what the date and time is. Thanks for the support.
Hugs,

Anya- What happened with your dr?

I hated my last OB but I kept putting off finding a new one and I still regret it, now I know what it is like to have a doctor that I really love, I can tell that he really cares about me and the baby and I can tell that he is really excited for us. It makes such a difference to have someone you are comfortable with.

Seriously, good doctor that you like is very important...so go ahead, find a good doctor who will take care of you personally!!! I know how that feels :(

Hey AP!  Girl - you have definately had a bumpy road, but the positive side is that even so everything is fine with Baby so far!  I am SO glad that your appt went well - even if your Doc didn't treat you the best - I agree with Rose definately find one that you are 100% comfortable with!  I know this is easier said than done, but try to enjoy the relaxing and the time you get to sit and enjoy your little one growing inside of you.  My schedule is so hectic right now - sometimes I forget to sit back and marvel at my little miracle!  Hang in there and keep us posted!

I am glad to hear that the baby is doing ok, I hope everything gets better for you! If you don't feel happy with your OB I wouldn't hesitate finding a new one, go for it.

My baby is fine. No it's still there. Now it's just the waiting game to see if I make it past 20 wks. I'm not a fan of the dr I liked her in the er last month but I think I may find a new one. I'm just not happy with the hosp etc. If I'm a high risk pg I don't want to feel like a inconvenience. I will probably give my ins co a call and find a new one that has some better bed side manner and more time for me. Thanks for asking I will ttyl...

Carebear- Big hugs back to you. Yes it has been one bumpy ride that doesn't stop or show signs of stopping anytime soon. Right down to the sex to. So a few wks ago I was told probably a boy but to double check down the road so I did today and the baby would not get in position at all so my lil man could be a lil girl. To funny least of my worries but even the simple stuff is chaotic too! How are you doing?

Anya- Mine was diagnosed at almost 12 wks and was 2 centimeters. It grew so now I'm a high risk pg due to it's location. My placenta is low so the hematoma is getting in the way of it functioning normally. I'm just taking my pg day by day. According to my dr I have a 50 % chance of m/c before 20 wks and a 33 % chance after 20 wks for premature labor. It is very scary. Thanks for the info. I will let you know what happnes.

Yes, I am here !
I had a hematoma early in pregnancy and it was dissolving in a week after diagnosed... It is long gone but I had some scare there...
Amy, I hope yours will dissolve with time, it takes what I was told until 20 weeks for the hematoma dissolve, and if it doesn't, you still should be fine...Mine was also 10 cm, but it got dissolved, hopefully, so will yours!
