Max or Isaak ?

Ok so I'm 32 weeks pregnant with a baby boy due to arrive early July... we are down to 2 names.

Keep in mind that our last name is super short and sounds a little like Bond, that we need an internationally pronounciable name AND that my 1st son's name is Lukas with a K...

so what do you think? Max or Isaak? I'm afraid that Max is too short combined with a short 1-syllable last name will sound like a private investigator from the fifties... and Isaak is too biblical (or sounds like a Jewish rabbi name according to my mother, and we're not Jewish, I personnaly don't agree with her perceptions), and that I will have to spell it everytime cause we love the idea that both our sons would have a K in their names...

please help!

I think I am leaning towards Isaak... with Spencer as a middle name..

I just don't .... why am I struggling so much with naming this child???

I like Isaak but it would help to know what the middle name will be to make a better decision.
One down side of Isaak is that it is generally a Jewish only name so you MAY get people assuming you are Jewish, not sure if that matters.

I voted for Isaak.  I agree with  you about having two one syllable names.  Plus I like names that are spelled differently than how one might expect.  Let us now what you decide!

I voted for Max I love it. Too cute! What will the middle name be or is it different for each name?

I voted for Isaak.  I love Max, but I agree that a 1-syllable name is too short to go with a short last name.  (I have the same situation.)

I like Isaak, too, and love the spelling!!

As for the unique spelling, it shouldn't be a big deal, its not like teachers, etc. won't know how to pronounce it!  Yes, you (and later he), will have to spell it for people on occasion, but that is true with almost any name!

My dd's name is Reygan, and I *love* the different spelling!
