Ovulation

Ok, I feel like I should know this, but I really do not.
When you are on birth control (I was on the patch), do you ovaluate?  Also, between what days do you normally ovulate
I stopped taking birth control on June 1, had a normal period at the end of June, and now for the past few days I have had cramping on one side, then the other.  It's been about 14 days since my period.  I don't normally have cramps at all, so I am wondering if this means I am ovulating??
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Usually if you are cramping it does mean that you are ovulating and I think that if you have a 28 day cycle you ovulate about 14 days after the start of your period.  When you are on birthcontrol you are not suppose to ovulate.

I think so, not sure. Or since your are cramping on both sides maybe it means you will be ovulating and both ovaries are getting the eggs ready and whichever side matured faster will release it. Not sure if I'm making any sense but I'm just guessing. I have felt that plenty of times too and just assumed it was because I was ovulating.
