Under my ribs

OK - i know I may be a hypochondriac, but every day for the last 2 weeks I have had this feeling of something kind of poking at me under my left rib - if feels like something kind of pushing against me.  Changing positions doesn't really help, but eventually the sensation will just go away.  But it comes back everyday.  I have an appt tomorrow and I'm gonna ask about it, but I'm worried.  What if its like a tumor or something!?!?!?  I know I'm overreacting (per my DH as well) but it just concerns me bc I know the baby isn't up there....just wondering what you guys think.

Hi ladies - I haven't been on in awhile, but I wanted to let you know what my doc said at my checkup.  He said basically that its just stretching and/or the baby pushing other organs/muscles up into the rib cage.  He also said that most women complain about the left side and the area where its uncomfortable being about the size of a silver dollar - he told me this even before I described where the pain was and he was dead on!  So---here we grow!!

My little guy is getting there too, I have noticed the very uncomfortable pressure under my ribs as well on the right side and it happens whenever I eat a lot so I know it is from everything being pushed up by my little guy.

I thought i was going insane. I have been feeling this too, and it feels like its kicks though. I have pretty much decided it is. I was thinking that maybe if she isnt up that high yet, maybe she is kicking one of my organs and its like having a domino effect and i can feel it up there. Its not right under my ribs, but its pretty high in my tummy. Let me know what the dr says bc i want to know.

Me too. My son likes to sit in breech positon especially when I eat and if feels like someone is punching me at the top of my stomach. The pressure from his head causes me to lose my breath and brings on contractions. Last night he was kicking my ribs. Oh yes I have a very active baby.....Yikes.. My oldest son did the same thing he would hang out at night so far up I felt like he was in my mouth...LoL. Welcome to the joys of pregnancy. It is fun but can be quite painful.....

Ok, your just as far along as I am. Don't let people tell u ur babies not up there yet. LoL. With my dd at right about this time I was in L&D for something and they had to look for the heartbeat they tried to look low and couldnt find it. I told them to look in my ribs and there she was. haha.

Also even if ur baby isnt quite there yet all ur organs are being pushed up into your ribs. Very uncomfortable. I've been dealing with this for a couple weeks now. It s u c k s !!!!
