Update ladies - maybe a baby soon!!
Well I went to L&D last night because as much as I tried I couldn't tell how far apart my cramping was, I just knew it came and went quickly. So I called and they had me come in, I was there for 20 minutes and they found out I was having contractions 4 minutes apart! I told her I was just there last week for the same thing, and she checked my cervix, I'm almost 2cm dilated. So they gave me a shot to stop the labor around 11, and she kept me overnight and gave me a pill dose every four hours to keep the contractions away. I saw my doctor this morning and he put me on bedrest for the rest of the week, and after sunday he's not stopping my labor! I'll be 36 weeks, and he's going to give me a shot for the baby's lungs if I do go into labor, hopefully I won't til at least 37 weeks though, I don't want to risk him not being ready, so I'm going to do all I can to stop it! SO maybe a baby sooner than I thought! :]
Mumita - I think AP was confusing my post for yours, when I said I was 2cm. BUT I'm feeling good, last night I woke up at 3:30 AM because I had SO much pressure I couldn't lay down, or sit, or anything, it hurt SO bad, I took a bath and some of it went away, but not completely, maybe my little man will be here soon!

AP- I never said I was dilated, I honestly have no clue, my midwife wont do a pelvic exam until I'm 37 weeks. I'm finally 34 weeks...6 more weeks to go....

I'm with you on the big/long baby. I thought my lil'guy was up under my ribs, turns out his head is down behind my pubic bone and his feet are up in my ribs. He is a long and chunky! My ultrasound showed that he is 4lbs 13oz and I'm only 32 weeks! He is so low the u/s tech had to get my to twist and turn and tilt just to see the back of his head to get measurments! The ultrasound showed that I'm not dialating yet which shocks me beyond belief with all the pressure and cramps. I figure the cramps are just from him being so low.
I can't wait to start hearing labour stories (no sharing the scary ones please! LoL)

AP - Tired ALL the time, a lot of pressure/back pain, and unable to breath a lot, quite a few times a day the sharp shooting vag. pain. Hopefully things are progressing for us! Isn't mine happening a little early and fast for a first baby??
Kim- No problem. I honestly thought the other night I would get into l and d and be told I'm effaced and like 3 centimeters dilated and yet I'm still at one. I'm not in a rush, but I'm so uncomfortable if I wasn't in so much pain it would be no big deal to me! How about you how do you feel?

Oh, and a LOT of people have told me my doctor doesn't check this stuff until 37 weeks, which will be my next appt. not my appt. tomorrow, so I'm going to tell him I'm having sharp pains and pressure down there still and HOPE he checks me.
AP - Thanks, I hope I'm effaced, but I'm probably not with my luck, I just like hearing things are changing because that means something actually happening! I've been having that sharp vaginal pain so I hope that means something is going on!!
Kimberlee- Yes they can tell by now if you are effaced. I'm so excited for you. I'm sure you will have a great delivery! Keep me posted what happens tomorrow!

Mumita - My stomach CONSTANTLY feels like I chugged a gallon of water, the bloating I feel, and the hardness of my stomach, it's HORRIBLE! I think I'm attracted to bigger men because I'm so small haha!
Why oh why did we have to fall in love with BIG men!! I'm getting there, at night when I'm sooo full and swollen I feel like my belly is about to explode it gets soo big. My little one is squirming in there but I don't feel like he's run out of room yet, probably when I'm 35-26 weeks I will....I'm 33 weeks.
I'm affraid to do a self check on my cervix...but I know that I'm not close at all.

Mumita - I'm 2cm dilated, no mucus plug yet that I've been able to identify for sure haha, I've thought I saw some, but not 100% sure, and the reason I don't feel like he's dropped is because he's SO big. He's in my pelvis and ribs, he was really long last time I had an ultrasound, and he's only getting bigger. My doctor thinks I'm "running out of room" and he has no where else to go, seriously I can't grow any larger, my stomach is hard as a basketball because he's so big.

Yeah I will talk to her about it Monday and see if I can be induced, If not then JT better get things moving a long.
AP & Grose - I'm so excited, I probably won't go into labor after sunday just because he knows he can actually come now and no one's stopping him, he'll make me wait haha. I'm not going to do anything inparticular to make him come after sunday, but if he does, he does. I don't know if I'm effaced or anything, all they tell me is how dilated I am, and that's only if I ask. I have my 36W appt. on Friday, do they usually tell you if you're effaced at the appt, or just dilated??
Hey there! I was in l and d too. I'm just having false labor. My dr said if I went into labor at 35 wks he would do nothing to stop it he feels that is close enough to being full term. My dr says it would be even better at 36 or 37 but 35 is fine. My dr also told me the part they are really looking for is effacement and so far I have none and I'm still at 1. He thinks it's the baby going even lower in my pelvis enlightment. So for me I think it will be the next few weeks. If you have to get a amnio done they can find out that day it they put the results on stat. I'm so uncomfortable at this point I would give anything to be having my lil man! Congrats you must be so excited! Keep me posted!

I have been getting that same pain for the longest time, it is unmistakably right in my cervix OUCH.
crysi- they might not check you just yet, maybe since you are cramping they will but it's still pretty early.
Tasia- I would tell your OB your situation, maybe he will induce if the baby is ready, a friend of mine was just induced at the end of May for the same reason except she was going to have NO insurance by the end of the month.

Well not sure if that is what I am feeling but I really hope I am. DH just got promoted and will be getting a new health plan which means I may have to change doctors and Hospital if I don't have him by the end of June :-(
Tasia - I feel it in my crotch haha, it feels just like it's in going down from the cervix all the way down my crotch, and it lasts a second or two.

I have my 32 weeks appointment tomorrow and I can't wait to see if I am dialating. I'm pretty sure I am. I get intense cramps but they don't come and go. They are just constant and painful and unpleasant.
It's so exciting that it's at the point where people are SO close to having their baby. It seems like just yesterday we all joined this group in the first trimester.

My mucous plug STILL hasn't started coming out, not noticeably if it is. The only thing that I feel from dilating is the sharp shotting pains up my cervix, which hurt pretty bad hah.
