diapers question

Hello my beautiful mommies, as usual I have a dumb question. I need to know what brand and size of diaper you guys suggest me buying. So far we have been using cloth diapers which I truly like but in about 2 weeks I am going to travel to California to stay at my inlaws for about 1-2 months(my father in law has cancer) and I do not want to be doing cloth over there, bc implies laundry, etc and I would like not to be a bother.

So i am thinking on using disposable diapers but don't know what brand or size should I use. James is about 5 month old and he is around 20-21 pounds now, so what do you guys think?

Thanks ladies, it seems that pamper and huggies are the best, So I think I am leaning towards Pampers, and size 2-3 should be. Today is snowing like heck here on Michigan so I will go to Target sometime tomorrow and buy them to begin a trial and see what works better for James, his tights are little big so will see.

Ladybugbo-nice for your thought sabout my father inlaw is hard to see your love ones going thorough cancer and wasting away. I will keep you posted about his progress.

You guys all ROCK!!!!!

Well, I just went to the store and found the 2-3 Pampers Swaddlers at Target!
And eternidad - i am so sorry for being inconsiderate about your father-in -law adn not mentioning that in my previous post.  I truly hope that recovery is in his future, adn if not I pray for his time to be painless.  I know it will be alot of work for all involvd in his care (we  went through this with my grandfather) and will keep you all in my prayers.

Geeze ladies...Colter is only 14 pounds and is chunky, he really must be short LOL!

My Dad bought up a ton of Huggies size 2 when he came to visit when Colter was born (all they had at Costco) but we are going back to PAMPERS as soon as we are out of them.  We really like the sensitive ones :)

I love Pampers.  Huggies and Luvs have all consistantly caused leaks for us and Luvs are like plastic (ick!).  Cash is 20lbs 2oz and he wears Size 2-3 Swaddlers.  I would probably recommend the 2-3 (yes its a hyphenated size) for James bc they are really soft like a cotton blanket and would probably cause less of a reaction (i.e. diaper rash) since he's used to cloth.  It's all Cash has ever worn since we went through some trial and error in the begining and thankfully he has never had a diaper rash with the Swaddlers.  I can't find the 2-3 size in the stores though, so I order them by the box from diapers*com.  The stores around here only sale N, 1, 2, not the 2-3.
The next type I would use would be the Pampers Cruisers in size 3.  Cash hasn't had any problems with those, and once he's more mobile I will quit using the Swaddlers all together and go to Cruisers, but for now the Swaddlers are so soft and work great.  Hope this helps!

Pampers or huggies, I use Huggies Size 3 sounds like a fit...Depends on how big his little thighs are...make sure they are not tight, My son is about 24 pounds and his thighs are chunkey and he is in size 4. Biggie Boy!!!!

I love Pampers.  They hold in alot.  I use size 2-3 with Iliana and she is 15 lbs so size 3 would probably work for him.  Kudos to you for using cloth diapers.  I started with my first DD and couldn't be bothered.  I only lasted a week with her.

Medina has been using Pampers (we have them here in Germany as well) and they are great. I've tried other brands but they really are the best for her. 20-21 lbs would be a size 3. I highly recommend pampers.
