Abnormal Pap - not a good sign...

Just had my first pap in 5 years (last was at sons 6week post delivery appt)  It came back abnormal then... I have avoided the drs since... First pap at 14 (ovarian cysts led to gyn appt) was abnormal - repeated years later.. had 1/2 cervix removed at 18.  I am making myself sick right now.... Dr's office left for lunch and won't be back for 2 hours and I forgot to ask what level the abnormalities were at... scheduled to have a colposcopy but they can not do the biopsy that they want because I am pregnant.  Anyone else been here??? If it progressed the way it did years ago... it could be pretty bad. I know it is my fault and now I feel that I am putting the baby at risk and I am so upset.

My pap came back abnormal.  The did a colposcopy today and did find abnormalities but they feel they can wait until the baby is born for a biopsy and treatment.  I have already had the cryo and leep - so my guess is maybe a cryo because there reallly is nothing left to my cervix for another leep.
Thanks for your support

So glad you can wait until after the baby is born for treatment.  Did I miss something though?  What were the results, and what will you need treatment for?  I really hope it's nothing too serious.  Thinking of you!

Oh hun that must have been so stressful! I am so happy that you will be able to wait until after the baby is born for treatment. Now the upside is you will be able to see your baby more and that is worth a lot! I'll continue to keep you in my prayers for an easy treatment/recovery after you're little one is here!

Last night was a horror - I came to every worst senerio possible.  They did the colposcopy and it looks like we can wait until the baby is born for treatment. THANK GOODNESS!!  Now 1 week to go before the next scary step - the High Risk Dr... but at least I will get an u/s ... Ob is making me come every two weeks now until the I move to the 1 week appts.. The high risk will be every 2 weeks.. so I should get to see and hear baby a lot.... Thanks for all of your support girls.... husband was so devestated he had a "few" drinks after work and could not drive home. (I am thinking more than a few!) .. spent the night crying alone..; UGH!

I'm praying that things won't be too serious. I know it is a scary time to get results like that when you're pregnant. At least you will get some answers, the not knowing is always scarier because we can always imagine the worst. I will keep you in my prayers...let us know what happens tomorrow.

They can not do a biopsy - but they want to.... but I am pretty sure I will know tomorrow how bad it is.... I am not sure if knowing is worse than not knowing at this point.  Thanks

High Risk Dr called OB/GYN and they discussed results - they want me in tomorrow at 11:30 am EST - Now I am really scared... The OB/GYN receptionist told me they do not know the level of the abnormalities and the Dr was out for the holiday... but when I called the HR dr he called and somehow..somereason was moved up to immediate appt needed... My OBGYN said I HAD to see the dr that did the pap and they ONLY did this procedure in one location - now I am seeing a different dr in the practice and a different location.... I am going to be praying very hard tonight - wish I could have a drink to make the worries go away :)

So sorry you are going thru this stress. At this point you are pregnant and you really can't do much know. Just try to relax as any undue stress is not good for you our your baby!!! Just try to relax and do what your dr thinks is necessary and doable at this time.
Wishing you lots of luck. Stay positive and keep us posted.
