Full Term tomorrow!!

I can not belive I am making it to 37 weeks!!! I have never made it to full term at all and this being my 5th. I am tired of the contractions but so happy too:) Well I guess that since I am dialating and pretty much 100% effaced that when I go to my appointment on Thursday he will break my water to get things really going. I am 3 hours away so at 3-4cm I might not make it there if I do go. I had originally told myself I would not let any interventions as I am going natural but these contractions 3-8 min apart night and day and not much sleep except for passing out in between is getting to be to much. Is that wrong?? I knda am hoping I go this evening then have him tomorrow so it can be all on my own. I also think of most woman go weeks past this and I should not have any complaints contractions or not! But any how I am just so happy to have made it full term and by the end of this week I will be holding my new son in my arms:) It has been more then 10 years since I got to bring a new baby home. Life will change for sure but of course for the better:)

I am still adopting a baby boy.  :)  We have already been referred him, so now we are just anxiously waiting for a court date to make it official.  He is about 5 months old, so he'll end up being about 6 months older than our baby girl.  We will be busy! :)

I am hoping to give him breast milk as well.  (I'm guessing through a bottle however, as that is what he'll be used to)  I'm meeting with a lactation consultant right after delivery to try to get my milk supply up to feed two little ones.  Hope it works, as I'm sure he would benefit from the extra nutrients. :)

Congrats!!! I know this is your first:) So exciting isn't it! Are you still getting the other baby too?? I also saw you had to get a breast pump accesories. Are you going to give your adopted baby breastmilk and nurse her too?? I lactated for three months  a year ago when we thought we were adopting but with my kids and his kids living in seperate states it fell through as we were going to have to pay for another home study and $3500 more becasue we could not get them all together during school in the "time frame" they require. So we eneded up having a tubal reversal so we could just have our own. Anyway lots of adopted moms do it and it has so many benifits for you both. Anyway best of luck to you and your new little one:) WEll two little ones

Don't worry about you having to have a c-section! Most c-sections are done unnessisarly anyway. Your mom and your sister ahve no bearing on you at all. As far as pain goes you just have to keep thinking it will end and breath through it. I am guessing this is yoru first. The best advise I can give you is that don't go to the hospital to soon or let them keep you in bed on monitors all the time so you can be mobile and gravity will help bring the baby down and you will be able to move around during pain to find a better position. I have had natural and an emergency c-section so I can speak for both. Natural is better by far but know going in that if something does go wrong and you have to have one that it is OK. That way you will not feel like you lost out and will not feel disapointed.

Thanks again and I hope I don't ahve to wait much longer either!! I just started spotting about a half hour ago again and feel like throwing up and the dreaded other so maybe something is about to happen again tonight! Crossing my fingers

Congrats on being full term!.. i am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my first and niether my mom or sister made it to full term. So im getitng scared that i wouldnt make it. Also both my mom and my sister had preeclapsia so am scared i will get it. my mom had a c section with me and my sister (we are twins) and my sister had a c section. I DO NOT want to have one.. i was getting contractions last night and they were very painful so dont think i could do this natually. it lasted only an hour.
