Slow heartbeat - Anyone hear heartbeat yet?

Anyone get an early ultrasound to hear the heartbeat yet? How fast was it? My ultrasound was last week - 6weeks1day. The sac looked good, but the heartbeat was slower than they would like - more like an adults, so I go again at 8 weeks. 2 weeks of waiting is sooo long, but I'm staying positive.
We have been trying for 3 years to give my daughter a sibling - 2 miscarraiges, 2 IUIs, lots of fertility apts & drugs & this pregnancy was totally naturally! I was waiting to start my cycle for IVF testing & surprise!

The heart beat is slow at first as the heart is forming and then gets faster each day. Like at 6 weeks 4 days mine was 108 and now at 8 weeks 3 days it is 180. THe baby could of implanted later then they thought. The due date is only determined by your last menstraul period and some babies implant on 7 days past O or 10 days psat O and that is a big difference! So do not worry yet! I know woman who have not been able to hear a heart beat at that age! Mine was faint at 6weeks 4 days but you could see the flutter:) Dont'e worry yet and the docotr should not of told you that!

I found this this while I was reading somewhere..

Week 6 - Gestational Age (Fetal age 4 weeks)
5 ½ to 6 ½ weeks is usually a very good time to detect either a fetal pole or even a fetal heart beat by vaginal ultrasound. The fetal pole is the first visible sign of a developing embryo. This pole structure actually has some curve to it with the embryo’s head at one end and what looks like a tail at the other end. The fetal pole now allows for crown to rump measurements (CRL) to be taken, so that pregnancy dating can be a bit more accurate. The fetal pole may be seen at a crown-rump length (CRL) of 2-4mm, and the heartbeat may be seen as a regular flutter when the CRL has reached 5mm.

If a vaginal ultrasound is done and no fetal pole or cardiac activity is seen, another ultrasound scan should be done in 3-7 days. Due to the fact that pregnancy dating can be wrong, it would be much too early at this point to make a clear diagnosis on the outcome of the pregnancy.

Week 7 - Gestational Age (Fetal Age 5 weeks)
Generally from 6 ½ -7 weeks is the time when a heartbeat can be detected and viability can be assessed. A normal heartbeat at 6-7 weeks would be 90-110 beats per minute. The presence of an embryonic heartbeat is an assuring sign of the health of the pregnancy. Once a heartbeat is detected, the chance of the pregnancy continuing ranges from 70-90% dependent on what type of ultrasound is used. If the embryo is less than 5mm CRL, it is possible for it to be healthy without showing a heartbeat, though a follow up scan in 5-7 days should show cardiac activity.

Congrats on the pregnancy! I'm not sure..but it might have been done while the heart was technically still developing?? Did they say anything about that? 6w1d is really early to hear one at all. My appt. is at 6w and I'm nervous to do the same thing to myself. God knows after a m/c that the last thing I want to do is give myself more reason to worry. Did you post anywhere else?
