My progesterone was 2.2 or 3.2 when I went to the doctor on October 28th.  They can put you on prometrium.  When you get pregnant again or maybe even before you might need to ask the doctor to put you on progesterone supplements.

I hope you are not going to miscarry and they did give you some progesteron (prometrium) to see if it would help. I am thinking about you and your husband.

Sending prayers and baby dust as well.  I've been spotting, too, since before I found out I was pregnant.  Only one day was it birght red, though, and that was 6 days ago.  Haven't had anything since, so I am still optimistic.
Hopefully your numbers will come back doubling like they're supposed to.  I'm sorry you went thru such trauma.  I actually declined bloodwork to find out if everything is ok at this point b/c I am so terrified by needles. =(
I'll be looking for your update!

Well, I just got back from doing blood tests.  They said they should know something on the blood work in about an hour.  This was the worst experience in bloods draws ever.  It hurt and they had to have two people try.

The bleeding is not very heavy but is red to pink.  I have been having slight cramps for a while.  They want to look at the blood work and then maybe do an u/s.
I just get so upset when i think I am having a miscarriage.  I am trying not to worry.  It is very hard.

I will try to let you know how things go.  Please send me all the prayers and baby dust you can.

Have a great day.

App. 30% of women will spot or bleed in their first trimester.  Most of the time it is fine, although scary to see.  I bled off and on through my entire first trimester (and I mean out and out bled), and he is now 9 months old and just fine.  Although it is common, it is never considered normal, and should be reported to your Dr.

Remember that at this stage your cervix is very soft and easily irritated.  Bleeding can be caused by things such as intercourse, or even straining to go to the bathroom if you are constipated.  In my case I had a small hematoma (sorry, sp?) that eventually bled itself out.  It never impacted the baby.

You will hear things like brown is ok, red is bad, etc.  That is not necessarily true.  All bleeding should be reported, but red spotting/bleeding is not necessarily a bad sign.

If the bleeding gets heavy enough that you are filling a pad an hour, you need to seek emergency medical treatment, but otherwise a call to your Dr. is fine.

I know it's hard not to worry, but much of the time this turns out just fine.

Good luck!!

I have been spotting since a week before I found out I was pregnant.  Normally bleeding can happen but normally doesn't.  Have you called your doctor?  I would call them and let them know.  Is it bright red or dark or pink?  Are you feeling cramps or anything?  Sorry so many questions but I've had 4 miscarriages and I remember the cramps were hard and painful and accompanied with clots and red blood.
