is this finally the start?!

been to clinic today im 39+2. she did a sweep for me said she could have easily broke my waters if she was allowed to and that i was 1cm with a very soft and stretcy cervix BUT still posterior (facing back). after i had this sweep i felt fine until an hour after where i felt very uncomfortable and started with a bad period pain, went to the loo and i had a bloody show. this is still going on 2 hours after i noticed it starting. not so many period pains but backache and uncomfy in my abdomen.

am going for monitoring this morning as im high risk pregnancy so we'll see what the monitor shows. feel a lot better this morning though to be honest :(

I was just having severe back labor last weeks. I have to honesty say it had me in tears. It felt like she was going to come out of my back..I had this for about 6 hrs and when we went to L&D I was only dialated 1 1/2cm. My contractions were 6 &7 minutes apart so they sent be home. 2 hrs later they just stopped. i've never had back labor before that but it was def. painful.

Ya you can have just back labor but not feel contractions because of the back pain. But I would call l and d and ask them. Does your tummy get tight like a braxton hicks contractions while your back is hurting?!? I had another friend email me this morning and said she didnt even know she was having contractions except she was hooked up to the monitor and just her back was hurting. So its totally possible. I would get checked out just to be certain. Especially if its been going on for a while.

do you get contractions in your back? mines just a dull ache like av over done it on my cleaning or summert lol. guna av a bounce on my ball and hope it sets off more period pains, at minute its just a constant cramp x

You could be having back labor. You might call them back and let them know and see if they want you to go get checked. I have heard this more and more lately and actually my friends mil when she had her son didnt know she was in labor at all and got to the hospital and was already at like a 9!!! So its totally possible you can be having back labor. I would call them and see. Good luck to you! You might be holding your baby very very soon!!!!

yeah i lost that on friday but now am losing the bloody stringy stuff too. backache is unreal but no contractions, i was really hopeful that today was the day x

I'm right with you I'm 39 +1 & had a sweep yesterday. I was,really Crampy all day. When I woke up this morning I lost my plug. Did you lose your whole plug yet?
