I got leg cramps in my 1st trimester and it was painful! I drank lots of water and coconut water like Vita Coco from Costco to hydrate my muscles. I had banana when I had them in the house. Stretching helps a little, but when my leg is already sore from the cramps, it doesn't help as much. I'm near the end of my 2nd trimester and I haven't had leg cramps again. We shall see 3rd trimester.
I use to get leg cramps all the time, I've been keeping a pillow under my back and using a body pillow and I've been able to sleep comfortably throughout the night
I get foot cramps with this pregnancy, and I usually drink water and use a heat pad on my foot for 5 mins until it relaxes. Hope this helps.
u need to wear more supportive shoes trusts me! I would always wear sandals and get leg cramps but I started wearing my Nikes and have no leg cramps
My doctor suggested stretching before bed and eating bananas - not super helpful. i find if i get up to pee (which i usually have to do anyway and take my vitamins then, that's usually enough to relieve the cramp without waking me up to much that i can't get back to bed. Middle of the night seems to be the least nauseous time of day to take the vitamin as well.
