Are you ladies gaining weight?

So I went in for my dr's appt this afternoon and did all the routine stuff (weight/blood pressure check, pee in a cup, etc.) and I was shocked to hear that I actually lost 2 lbs! I went in thinking I had gained at least 5 lbs because I've been so constipated lately...weird. The nurse said it's normal to lose a few pounds during the first trimester due to the nausea and vomitting but I haven't really experienced any of that. So I'm wondering, have any of you ladies started gaining weight? Or if any of you have had children before, do you know when I should expect to start putting on the pounds? I just want to make sure that everything is going as it should. Thanks in advance and hope you're all having a great week and enjoying your little miracles. Take care and God Bless. :)

I weight the exact same as the day I found out. I don't have that great of an appetite and feel sick 90% of every day. I am 10 weeks on Sunday. I'm not worried about not gaining weight yet--its normal. It will come soon enough. :)

Hello my dear,
It makes me smile when i read posts that i can relate to. I can't say that i have felt my baby move but i do get strange feelings in my belly, which i can't explain and have never felt before. But saying that i have been suffering from wind so i just tend to put it down to that.
One of my friends came round today to see how i am getting on and she has not seen me in about 6-7 months, as soon as she saw my belly she was shocked as to how big it was! It felt good that my baby is being noticed. Can't wait to be a mummy. Take care of yourself. God bless.

Awe thanks Pam, I feel better knowing we're right there together. I know what you mean about the expanding waist, I feel like I'm turning into Spongebob...LOL. But really, I used to have shape to my body and now it feels like I have no waist. I don't mind though, anything for the baby. So have you felt your little one move yet? My dr asked me if I'd felt the baby move and I asked him "Oh is that what that little fluttering is?" and he just smiled and said "Yup." Haha, I'm pretty new to all this so it's kinda funny feeling everything for the first time. It feels like an air bubble passing right underneath my skin, that's the best way I can describe it...but it's awesome! Well hope everything is well with you. Take care and God Bless. :)

Hello my dear,
I am in the same boat as u. As you are aware theres about a week betweeen our EDD. My weight before pregnancy was 55kg, i had 2 wks of sickness, about 6 weeks ago. I went to see my midwife today and again pee test blood presure and weight was checked and i have not gained any weight which i found really strange. My waist has always been 28 inches and has now grown to 35 inches but no weight gain, so i questioned it with my midwife who advised me that can be normal, and that i will find as time goes by that the weight will start to show on scales as our baby grow. Don't worry stay positive, and keeping on eating as and when required, don't over eat just to gain weight your body knows when you need to eat. Keep me posted on your progress god bless.

Lots of love
