Baby facing the wrong way 36wks

Hi girls
i had my antenatal yesturday, supposedly bub is facing the wrong way
say i am laying on my back
its facing the bed instead of the ceiling if that makes sence?
or the other way around?
its head is low down and starting to get engaged but not quite there yet

but what i want to know is, is anyone els like this aswel at the moment? my mum said my brother and i were both born that way and we didnt turn, and it was horrible lol
supposedly theres still time for the baby to turn around

has anyone given birth to a bub this way before?

My last baby was also "sunny side up", as the midwife called it.  Although it was just as painful as my other two births, it was no more so, and actually he came much quicker, in about 5-6 hours versus 10-12.

I did not have an epidural, either, so don't worry.  Even if s/he doesn't turn, it won't necessarily be that bad. = )

My son was in the "sunny side up" position, which means he was facing up rather than down.  They are supposed to face down so that the top part of their head engages the birth canal, not their forehead.  During labor my doctor had me lay on my side to try to help the baby get into the correct position.  I was worried I was going to have to have a c section but fortunately he moved into the correct position was born vaginally.  So dont worry, they can correct themselves in the last minute.

It typically occurs prior to the onset of labour (2-4 weeks) but for some women the baby will not engage until the start of labour (especially in subsequent pregnancies). I've read that when babies are facing forwards (like yours) then they most probably won't engage until labour begins.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I feel like my little guy is facing the wrong way as well. I guess I will have to ask my doctor on Monday.

Most face your back. My little one was facing my back on Tuesday and then my Dr said she could still turn her head forward. I wouldn't really worry about it, I feel my little one squirming all the time and even her head moving (which is fully engaged)

I know what you mean, that the face is not towards your back but the front. My Dr. said that the baby can turn it's face the other way. It's not a bad think but I think it's called back labour meaning you have more back pain during labour and an epidural is recomended usually in such cases. It's not a bad thing, main thing is your bub is head down which is a great sign
