contractions/braxton hicks

Has anyone on here been having lots of contracions.  I was in preterm labor 2 wks ago after 6 hours it was stopped. Then i had a follow up appt last Tuesday, both of us are doing well.  Im sceduled for a c-section on 5/30  but just been having lots of contractions.  They are starting to get more and more painful each day.  My doc doesnt seem to concerned about it.  He told me at first no more then 4 an hour.  Then at my appt he changed it to, no closer then 10 mins.  apart that last up to an hour...   what do you all think about this.

Hello,
I don't think I have BH yet (I am 35 weeks), I was wondering how do they feel? I've been having cramps in the evening, and from reading this post I am guessing those are contractions?

Im 30 days away from my due date!!!! I have a doc appt today, they will check my cervix today. I hope I will hold on for another week or two!!!! I need to get my home back. They just started doing hardwood floors today so we moved out for a week. Then I need a week to get everything organized and nursery ready!!! Well its almost ready but after all this dust I need to clean it and put the crib together.
For past few days I had awful pain around my belly buton, really bad. I had something like that before but only for a day, now was 4 days. I hope its nothing but I will ask my doc today.

I have an appointment tomorrow. My Obstet. won't be checking my cervix until 36 weeks (so next week) but I'm in the opinion that it has begun already (cervix dilating). What's really strange is that I have two cats and they are almost always around me now especially when I'm not feeling so well. I was dry heaving this morning and one of them followed me and guarded the bathroom door, cute little thing. I think I will have the baby within the next few weeks. Plus my feet and ankles are swelling that something it hurts to walk, I will talk to my Dr about it. Wow, we're almost there!

Yeah, I've been having more and more braxton hicks lately. Not painful at all but just feels odd. I went to the dr today and was told I'm 1 cm dilated so who knows when I'll be going. It's getting closer though!!! How are you feeling? :)

nsrchofbaby: The Braxton Hicks I've been having feel as follows: I can feel a tightening in the lower abdominal region in conjunction with pressure and hardness. After around 30 seconds, it becomes better. Sometimes it is slightly painful, because of the pressure.

What the night!!!! I didnt sleep at all, I dont know how more I can take it!!!! Its not that she is kicking or I have contarctions- NO, just cant sleep.
My contarctions are much better then few weeks ago, I had a lot of them due to UTI, after taking some meds they are gone and Im so happy, I had them pretty often. Right now I have only few a day. I will be 35 weeks this Wednesday, so 2 more weeks to get to safety zone!!! My sugar went a little higher in past few days but its still in correct limits. MY DH cant wait for little girl!!! for few reasons including sex. Im not surprise, I miss this too but for the past weeks I cant even think about this!!!! I know I could at least play a little bit with him but I just cant!!!! I dont know whats going on but Im tired of that!!! I want my body back and I want have sex with him, I miss this but right now I cant. Does anyone else have the same problem??? I dont remember how was that with my firts pregnancy...........

Ugh, I haven't had any painful contractions yet. Just braxton hicks that aren't really uncomfortable at all. My biggest complaint so far is not being able to sleep through the night lol. I'm going to the dr once a week now and my next appt is scheduled for Thurs, May 7th. I'm thinking they should start checking for dilation and effacement then. Hmmmm. Oh, I tested negative for Group B Strep. Anyone else get their results from that yet?

Lissy - Your midnight potty breaks sound just like mine! I'm telling you, it's like a circus act in the middle of the night. LOL. :)

Zazou - 8 contractions! Please describe them if you can. I sometimes feel as though maybe I get them and just don't pay them any mind. But I'm pretty sure that genuine contractions are gonna have me in tears. Haha. :)

On Wednesday, I counted that I had 8 contractions within the hour!!! I was about to call me midwife and then they pretty much stopped (typical). They were irregular but still, I have been noticing that they are getting more painful and often. It's also getting difficult for me as my appetite is reduced and the nausea is back with occassional vomiting, I'm just really feeling horrible almost all of the time. Hope I last until the 38th week and then I'm happy to meet my lil' one from then on :-)

It really does feel 10xs worse at night! Has me on the verge of tears sometimes. I even told my husband that I hope I go into labor and have the baby during the day! It also doesn't help that my little girl gets into all kinds of weird positions while I'm trying to sleep so when I finally get up to go pee, it turns into a full blown event that requires my husband's help. LOL. But...we're almost there!!!! :)

I've been having some braxton hicks contractions but haven't really paid attention to how often as they're so irregular. I have noticed that like Lissyloo, I've been having quite a bit of cramping (pain) at night and discomfort when I get up to pee. It's like my tummy feels soooooo heavy at night! I also feel more pressure but I'm hoping it's just the baby moving down and getting ready to come out rather than she's already down there and wanting to come out LOL. Hope you feel a little better and that your little one holds off a little longer. Take care. :)

I have contractions all the time too. I was actually put on pre-term labour watch at 24 weeks though. I was having contractions and cervical thinning and bleeding. The thinning and bleeding have stopped, but I still get some pretty damn intense contractions on a regular basis. I think our doctors are starting to become a little more lax, only because we getting to the "safety zone"! Thank goodness!
But best of luck!! We are so close!
