Braelynn has arrived

Well ladies my little girl came early :) She was due somewhere between June 25th and June 30th depending on if you go off my lmp or IUI date. She was around 2 weeks early born at 2:51am Wednesday morning the 15th. I saw my midwife and was dialated to just a tight 2 when she checked me at 8 am Tues morning and told me to come back if I had started contracting from the exam later that afternoon. I then drove an hour to work to start contracting. They were pretty irregular at first and then got steadier so I went back in at 2pm. By this time I was a "loose 2" and thinned out so she said go home, relax, shower and eat and if they dont stop to call her and go in. By the time I did all this they were about every 3 min but not all that painful so I went in and was dialated to 4. I then walked around for an hour and was at a 5 so got my epidurel and waited. I paused for a while at 6 and had to add petocin and break my water but she eventually came. It was much easier than my 1st baby which was great:) Braelynn Jean was born at 2:51am June 15th at 7lbs 1oz and 19.5 in long.

Wow! Good job hiring a midwife. It sounds really nice. Good thing you trusted your body instead of your due date! Sounds beautiful. I am glad you had the childbirth you wanted.
