Hello Kdaily and EVERYONE who has Discharge! You have to read this!
It is completely normal!! It is definitely one of those annoying side effects and unpleasant symptoms of pregnancy. Abundant amounts of discharge can start very early as one of the very first symptoms of pregnancy and can last all throughout the entire pregnancy.
If you have the pleasure of finding a book to read - that is wonderfully humorous which I DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who is or has been pregnant - (beware though, it is very descriptive) called "BELLY LAUGHES" written by Jenny McCarthy - she talks candidly about all the things, symptoms and anything and everything else you could endure during pregnancy that most people (including doctors) DO NOT talk about!
She affectionately calls the discharge, Niagara Falls and Snail trail.... Sorry, TMI, but it's written for those women who do not have the luck to hear it all from a mom or sister or girlfriend willing to share all!
Now onto an answer for this problem....
A somewhat bizarre solution/fix for this problem? Most people recommend a panty liner. BUT if I could add in here - on a personal level, I never found that a panty liner ever made me feel fresh enough since I too had abundant amounts of discharge - so (while this is TMI for sure) despite the fact that the liner would catch it all, I still felt "Wet" all the time and subsequently gross. I then discovered a while after - using paper towels... yes paper towels (bounty to be exact) which I would fold over tri fold to look like a pamphlet. This might sound crazy but I could throw it away when it felt too wet and simply replace with a fresh one! Don't flush though, it will clog up the home toilet. Just remember - bounty sheets seem to be the softest of all the paper towels out there, but any type will do.
Well girls, I think at this point you all might think I am crazy, but after being pregnant 5 times, you become a pro with some of the unusual symptoms!
I hope this helps!! LOL!
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.
Sincerely,

Yes, totally normal! (at least I've had the same thing with both pregnancies). I think it's the progesterone.
