induction???

hi..im new here 38.4 weeks pregnant and my doctor wants to induce me on monday because my LO has low amniotic fluid.im quite nervous..this is my fourth child but possibly the most hardest n most complicated pregnancy.im 40 n conceived through ivf due to having my tubes tied..how safe is induction??

İts now 6,30pm n i just got back from the hospital..turns out i dont need the catheter as im 60% effaced n cervix is 2cm dilated so if she doesnt come out on her own by tomorrow morning ill be induced....:) thank u ..it was nice reading these messages when i got home..ill keep u posted :))))

İm off to the hospital soon where ill get a foley catheter to help dilate my cervix then if all goes well be induced...i feel like a novice ive had 3 but im so scared n worried...i promised my husband to try to go in with a positive attitude...hoping all goes well and i have my baby girl in my arms tomorrow...:)

Yes it does bring stronger contractions I could tell the difference comparing my last labor (no induction) with my first. My second I didnt know I was truly in labor. But I was able to take the pain better without the induction this time around.

Thank you for replying :) i want to ask for the epidural before they actually start the induction so hopefully there wont be too much pain.ive also heard that induction brings stronger and more painful contractions

I had an induction with my first...It was a very beautiful experience I didn't have an epidural but I'm not going to lie it did hurt. An induction is totally safe.
