Constipated for far too long

Hello ~ First timer, due June 14th so 8 weeks tomorrow. I've had crazy constipation since the beginning, along with other annoying symptoms, and I've had my first appointment last week (sadly, they said they weren't doing an ultrasound that day). The nurse suggested Colace, which I've been on for the past couple days. I've increased my fiber and water intake a lot from the beginning. I have a big belly but I'm pretty sure it's just a bunch of crap (pardon the pun). Any suggestions would be welcoming! Thank you!

I get the constipation too. When there is too much of a back up, I go to Starbucks and get a tall decaf of my favorite coffee. It makes me have to go within hours of drinking it. Best feeling ever!

1-2 table spoon of olive oil every morning on an empty stomach, wait at least 1hour before eating or drinking anything! Every time after that I have to hurry to the bathroom!! Hahahhaaaa! It really works

Turns out the constipation was just temporary, a month or so. I still keep track of my bowel movements though, funny as it may sound. I will look into the fiber gummies though!

I eat those fiber one bars...I have to be mindful to eat then when I'm closer to being off work or on my commute home...because they work well for me...sorry.

Have you tried fiber gummies? I eat four tummies a day and haven't had much of a problem since!

Drinking warm liquids, like water with some lemon in it, can also help.

Try a slice of rye bread a day. Its an acquired taste but works in a day or so. Its healthy bread and usually cut in thin slices and thats enough to get you regular again. Best of luck! Im not sure if laxatives can be used during pregnancy and would use that as a very last option if at all.

I've been having the same issue.  My OB recommended dulcolax suppositories or a fleet enema.  I've done both and felt so much better afterwards
