Update - my doctor ordered fFN which came back positive. I'm now followed weekly by my MFM (high risk OB) outpatient. Good thing is the cervix looks okay for now, but I definitely am at risk for preterm labor. I'm so glad that I insisted to have the fFN test - no one took my complaint seriously before the positive fFN.

Hi, im currently laying in a hospital bed from having the same period pains about 2 days ago. When I arrived to the hospital they told me it was pre term labor. They gave to steriods & antibiotics, for 2 reasons... 1. To attempt to stop the labor and 2. If they couldnt stop it, the meds would also prepare my babies lungs & brain for early delivert. So maybe u should get that checked out right away. Im glad I did

I had the same thing - period-like cramping everyday lasting anywhere between 1-4 hours with lower back pain for the past week. I stopped by urgent care begging them to order me an fFN for peace of mind, but the charge nurse would not even let me see a doctor. He said cramping/spotting after 20 weeks need to be checked at the hospital (either L&D or ER). :(

Lower back pain/cramping is on my list of labor signs. Call your doctor. It could be nothing, but it could be pretty serious.

Tell your doctor. Any period like cramps that keep getting worse is contractions and they would probably have to check you and make sure you dont go into labor early. Just be on the safe side and go to the hospital. You never ignore cramps if they keep happening. Have a safe and Blessed pregnancy everyone <3

It could be normal growing pains,  it could be Braxton hicks. But make sure you mention this to your doc. Hopefully you have a appt soon. I had these and they were worried and checked me for preterm labor. Everything turned out all good but they say to let them know if you get those pains just to be sure.

I had those pains about a month ago. What helped me was a heating pad on low heat. I had that pain for 4 days straight eventually it started to faint and jow I'm back to normal
