anybody obsessed with weight gain?

Everyday I track my progress. I have gained 10lbs as I'm petite I'm 100lbs pre preggo..I'm going to be 28 weeks preg tomorrow and  I am very worried that I am not gaining enough weight as I enter my 3rd trimester. I just wanna cry! I tried eating 3x a day and snacks fruits and eat a protein bar before I get out of bed. I'm so disappointed with myself! I felt like a bad mother to not gain weight at all! I drink enough water and take vitamins every day! Plus I'm anemic, so I take iron supplement every day. I blame the digital weighing scale of my husband. Something must be wrong with me...

I am 29+4 and have gained 9lbs so far this pregnancy. I was very ill at the start and lost 1 stone so I am still in the minus for pre pregnancy weight. I was also really worried about it as I was a healthy weight before pregnancy and while I'm not underweight now, I am not at the weight gain level that all the sites keep telling me.  However I went to the hospital this week and my little chunk is measuring in at 3lb 6ozs so she is on par to be a big baby like her sister. The doctor told me that it is obvious she is getting everything she needs and therfore they are not worried as all pregnant women gain different amounts of weight so not to panic.

My mom gained maybe 15lbs when she was pregnant with my brother, back in '75. Her doctor would worry her about being too thin. My brother was 8lbs and completely healthy! Don't stress. As long as you're healthy, that's all that matters!

Ya know I can't stess enough that everyone is different. Your Dr is using a weight chart which is a world average. But you are unique and it would be impossible to cater to each person. If you are healthy and baby is measuring fine why are you worried? I am 29 weeks today and have gained 6lbs but baby is healthy. Don't stress unless Dr says you should have concerns.

Don't stress about ur weight as long as u and baby are healthy its all that matters.  Don't make urself put weight on because it will end up just being fat later on. It sounds like u are being an awesome mum all ready. This is my 3rd pregnancy and only put on about 7kgs (aprox14pds) with the other 2. I had healthy 7pd babies. :-)
