pulse... too fast?

Hello ladies,

First of all I hope you are all well...

Secondly, I'd like to ask if any of you have any advice or experience of the following... before becoming pregnant my resting heart rate was always in the 70's or 80s.... since becoming pregnant it went up to the 80s and 90s which is normal... but the last couple of weeks my pulse has risen to 100s while today it reached 153....

any similar experience?

My blood pressure ranges from 85/45 to 100/65 (so on the low side)..

Thanks in advance for the help or comments xx

Nelly

I am 16 weeks and also had a pulse of 100 this week when I saw my midwives. I had an appointment the next day with my doctor and she mentioned my hematocrit level which part of your iron level was 30 which is low. She recommended to take an iron supplement to raise my level.  Since I have also had some constipation so she recommended floradix which is a liquid and doesn't cause constipation like the pills.I had noticed my heart racing in the weeks prior. Hope this helps.

Could be anemia. Do you also get dizzy spells?

Thank you ladies xxx
I had a "reassurance scan" today (for bleeding during Christmas, and all was well)...
I asked the doctor while I was there and she said it was only a problem if the high pulse was accompanied by chest pain or generally not feeling well... she also said that during the fourth month blood pressure was at its lowest and then it rises after that. ..

So all is good :)
Thank you for your reassurances :)

I had the same experience! I normally have low blood pressure but randomly my heart will start racing and then it will calm back down to normal. I asked my ob and she said it's completely normal because your body is working extra hard to help grow the baby :)

I haven't actually measured my pulse, but the app says your heart is working at double or triple what it usually does to pump blood to the baby. So I am sure it would cause it to beat harder and/or faster!
