Yeah I have to pay $350 for it @unknown_jones
I have 2 sons, uncircumcised. I will not be getting my 3rd on the way circumcised either. I found it to be an unnecessary cost. My oldest is 8y/o and I taught him how to pull back his foreskin in order to clean properly. So far there haven't been any issues however if it becomes a medical issue in future I'd get it done.
@inmyfreetime well if you think it's wrong Don't do it. You do what you think is best for your child. (:
I haven't been able to vote on that decision because I don't feel strongly either way. I don't see a problem with no circumcision and as a matter of fact my father, brother and fiance and all uncircumcised so no strong incentive to do it. My sister however circumcised both her boys. I have done some research and there are pros and cons to either way. This is a hard one...
I am really struggling with this circumcision decision. My husband and I have no religious reason to do it, but we live in the south where it seems like EVERYONE is circumcised. When we spoke to my parents and close friends about it, they were shocked we were even considering leaving our son natural. Unfortunately I do care what others think, but I also really don't see the point of this elective procedure meant for pure aesthetics. My husband is circumcised so I do worry about our son feeling different from his dad. Thoughts?
In my opinion I think you should vaccinate your child but I'm not going to make a huge deal out of it especially when I don't know the person.
But some people make a HUGE deal out of people getting their child circumcised and 1 said you are a lazy parent if you get your child circumcised....
Circumcising your child has nothing to do with being a lazy parent
No. That's different entirely. Someone choosing not to vaccinate their children DOES have an affect on the lives of others. It puts the health of many other people at risk. That is absolutely a community health issue and should in no way be considered to be in the same category.
The choice to circumcise or not is completely a personal decision that affects nobody except the child.
I agree...and i feel the same way about parents choosing immunizations for their child, too.
