Black Spot when Teething

So Blake has a this giant, black, bruise looking thing where her tooth is about to cut through! I called my dentist friend (I try to spread out my crazy worrying to more than just my pediatrician so no one will catch on that I am a totally freaked out parent half the time! haha) to ask what it is.

She said that it is probably just a cyst! Sometimes when they cut their teeth it can have a cyst in front of it. It will be fine though. I was nervous that she had an abscess or melanoma!! Anyone else experience this?

Sounds interesting.I have never heard of it either. I guess as long as it isn't bothering her she should be fine. Wow...9 teeth! Our little babies are growing up so fast. :)

No it doesn't seem to really bother her. Every once in awhile she sticks her finger in her mouth over there but nothing worse than typical teething behavior. This is going to be her 9th tooth when it finally cuts through!

I haven't heard of that before... interesting though.  Blake sounds like she almost has a full set of teeth by now!  lol...

Does the "cyst" bother her at all?

I haven't personally experienced it, but it makes sense.
