Bowel Movements

Ok so is everyone's babies still having regular bowel movements?  Mady is going between 2-3 days.  I called the Dc last weekend and they said that 7-10 days between is normal.  I just feel really bad for her, she has to be in some pain, that little body and all that stuck in there.  Any advice?

My pedi said any kinda poop is fine unless it has mucus or has blood in it. So any texture and color is fine. That's what she told me. My sons had the green poops, the yellow ones.. You name it, he's probably had it Lol.

Jules... from what Leighton has been giving me (or not giving me) Mady seems totally normal.  We will go for 2 weeks where she only goes 2-3 times in those 2 weeks.  Then, its like she will go the next week every day or every other day.  So, I think it just depends on what their bodies need to retain.  Leighton is also breast fed.

He poops 1-2 times a day...but I worry about the color..its green. unless he has diareahha then it turns yellow.
He didn't go for almost 2 days and was in a lot of pain but he let loose on Grampie today

I had the SAME thing - I freaked when she did not go for two days - but I guess it is normal. Then last week or so she went back to daily or every other day. And yes - they can go up to 7 days without one! It is b/c breast milk is super absorbent.

Hayd "toots" all the time - so every morning I do bicycle legs and she just lets them rip. haha. Some times this gets a poop too!

Mady is also breastfeed.  I have tried the bicycle and rubbing her belly and warm baths.  She is very gassy just not regular BMs

I lay Brock on his back on my legs with my legs on our coffee table, so he's slightly elevated.  Then I bicycle his legs, and, of course, I sing "bicycle out the poops!"  Hopefully we all sing dorky songs, or it's just me!!!!

Mark is breastfed so he has daily BM. However he tends to be rather gassy so I lay him on his back and press his legs firmly into his stomach then he farts and sometimes poos (It is a little yoga move and doesn't hurt the baby). Maybe try that
