Colic

Is anyone having issues with this?  We are having the nightly tantrum routine anywhere between 5 and 9, but we get it under control pretty quickly using "The Happiest Baby on the Block" method.  My goodness, how long will this last and what is wrong?  I dread each night because I know I'm going to hear him cry like that, and I don't know what's wrong!  Any advice?

Oh yes..... having issues with this as well... Noah is just a fussy gus! They gave me some new formula for him to try but HE HATES IT!!! He wont take it.... I think its called alimentum or somthing like that... Its suppose to help with Colic.... The dr said just be patient there is a light at the end of the tunnel..... It should end shortly, hopefully for us both! I have just tried Baths, Walking around, Noah likes the sound of the humidifer, but man I know what you mean, I try different things and some nights they work and other nights the same methods dont work, Just keep your head up! It will pass!

my mom made all my recieving blankets and made them 1meter each and they are awesome for swaddling plus they only cost a couple bucks each. so simple to do, just sew all around the material and got to pick all the fabric too

I agree with Ovaz....the Kiddopadumus swaddle is the BEST. We have already worn out the 2 small ones we have and are using the large one now. I swaddle him after every feeding/burp session. It really helps at night. Jack still gets fussy in the evening around the 5-9pm time and the swaddle stops it cold...along with the pacifier too of course.

I was gonna suggest readin "the happiest baby on the block" but see that is the method you are using. It says by 4 months it should go away

well... we had it for the first 6 1/2 weeks and i swear it was like she hit the 7 week mark it is majorly subsided.  fortunately we are done with this, but i can sympathize with you :)  it is really rough...

something that REALLY helped leighton was we would burp her before she ate, every ounce, and then for 10 minutes after she ate.  also, we would rub her back instead of patting.  so, rub rub rub, pat.  rub rub rub pat.  that really helped for some reason.

do you have a swing?  if so, try that.  we also gave in to the pacifier.  personally, i was anti pacifier initially.  but, honestly... NOT ANYMORE!  haha... love that thing.  anyway... if you can work on getting him to take a pacifier, that helped soothe.

another thing that helped... we started using her kiddopadumus swaddle.  if you don't have one... Babies r Us sells them.  they are amazing!  in fact, we still swaddle her in this every nap and night.  so, maybe if you haven't tried these things yet.. give them a shot.  i know i would try anytnign and everything with leighton!
