Grinding Teeth

Is there any other babies out there grinding their teeth?  Mady finally has her top teeth sprouting out and now she grinds them.  I am debating calling the dc. but wanted to see if anyone else has the same problem.

I hate the sound too, ughhhh,
Jem that is too funny that she chewed the crib and tv stand.  That crib's rails are to big to fit any of those covers.  Oh well Hayden will always have a memory of chewing her bed when it is set as a full bed. Haha

Jack was a grinder. Now that he has a few more teeth he has stopped. I asked his pediatrician on his 9 month appointment and she said it was normal. I actually forgot all about it...I guess it stopped somewhere along the way. Hope it ends soon for ya...it made shivers go up my spine. I hate that sound. grrrit..grrrit

Yup - I have a grinder! It makes me cringe w/ the sound of it. Just the sound. Hayden sprouted 4 top teeth at 7 months - all at once. Her crib rail is completely chewed up (though the novelty of this wore off so she doesn't chomp it anymore) and our TV stand is also chewed. I've only caught her grinding 2 or 3 times and I just insert my finger in there and say "no hayden".

Leighton doesn't do this... but maybe because they are new she is trying to figure the out and her way of doing that is by grinding them.  I doubt there is anything negative about it (other than she may loose a little enamel... not that that isn't bad, but it won't hurt her).  My guess is she is just experimenting with her new find!  :)
