Just for fun...

Has anyone had any "weird" cravings for particualr foods or any foods that you use to love just put you off now???

I know we aren't to the stage where we are suppose to crave the pickles and ice cream but I have noticed certain foods I love to eat and certain foods have me running for the hills.

For example, I have always LOVED Olive Garden but now I especially do. And it isn't the normal food but the salad. I have always loved the salad but I have gone to Olive Garden 3 times this week now and all I want to eat is the salad. I ate 3 bowls all by myself last night. :)

Also, I use to love Mexican food but now I can't even look at a mexican restaurant without wanting to be sick.

Aversion: CHICKEN!!!  So grossed out by it... I literally begin to gag just thinking about it.

Cravings: Yogurt and candy... I am not a sweet person at all and apparently now I am!

Despite my sugar craving, I haven't gained any weight.  So, just trying to stay healthy and crave all the good foods :)

I want anything cold really! I even put fruit snacks in the fridge so they are nice and cool when I eat them :). Pretty much everything sounds good to me, until I take a bite then it's blah!! I usually love to eat, I am not really picky, but right now food is just gross, so when something sounds good, I eat it. I was a little overweight to begin with when I got pregnant, so I don't want to overdo it, but I have lost about 4 pounds in last 2 months, so I think I am on track!

I am actually disappointed...I don't have any cravings or aversions at all. I was really looking forward to having that "one thing" to eat all the time. Pretty much everything sounds blah. The only reason I eat anything is because I have to, but nothing sounds good (or bad). Before I got pregnant I was on a pretty strict caloric diet but now I mostly am just letting myself eat anyting without restrictions (to some degree of course).

Hopefully I will get a craving soon. :)

eww I am jealous that you can drink milk. I use to drink milk all the time but now I can't. I am kind of worried about the lack of calcium in my diet and I know I will be the one to pay for it...baby leaching it from my bones and teeth...but I just can't stomach it. One food that I have been eating a lot of because I think it settles my stomach are french fries. French fries use to be a hang over food for me when I drank too much and now it is a good way for me to battle nausea in pregnancy. It is bazaar but it works.

My poor husband...he hasn't eaten a home cooked meal in a month. I can't cook for him because everything is too gross. But we eat out soo much now...so at least he gets to eat! :)

Hi :)
I know exactly what you mean, I can't stand any pasta's, spices, chicken nuggets, allot of meats, and watermelon. I can barely eat anything I loved anymore, tonight I had one bite of pasta and had to stop and eat cereal for dinner. I am eating more tomatoes, salads, and ice creams lately. I had a real strong craving for pizza lastnight and for oreo's tonight :) And I'm only around 7 weeks so far. I love chinese food but I haven't tested that out yet to see if baby allowes it. I also have been drinking allot more milk lately. This pregnancy is completely different as far as symptoms go, I have been nauseous for the past 2 weeks. But hopefully it will ease up soon, if not it usually does around the 12th week for the lucky :)
