Personal Question

Hi everyone , just wondering if this is normal . I got my period exactly 6 weeks after Cruz was born , that was last thursday it is now next 8 days and it doesn't really feel like it is going away ? I normally get my period for 5 days and by the last day and a half it is hardly there . This period is weird . Anyone else have this ?

I had my first period after i gave birth around 6 weeks as well and MAN was it HORRIBLE!! The cramps were outrageous and the flow (sorry for TMI) was REALLY heavy.... I was leaking through my pads at night on to my sheets... I actually thought man is this normal.... and it did seem to last alot longer.... I just now finished my second period and this one was not as bad.... they do say that the first couple are pretty bad... so I would assume from what i went through that it sounds pretty normal!

They usually say the first period after you have a baby is pretty heavy. I don't remember them saying how long it lasts. Mine lasted 6-7 days.. But my normal period is usually 5 days. I've already had my 2nd period.. And no I'm not breastfeeding. But I was due March 3rd, and had my boy Feb. 23rd.

I haven't got my period yet though I am exclusively breastfeeding so I hear that might keep it at bay for a while. However, I did bleed for 8 weeks after delivery so maybe my "period" was part of that...who knows. For a while during that time I did experieince some mild cramping here and there but since I never stopped bleeding after the delivery I am not sure what that was. I am hoping not to have anything for a while longer. I am tired of tending to that situation.

i have not gotten mine yet - but I would think all bets are off with "regular" periods right after having a baby...I am sure your body is all turned upside down - but a quick call to the OB might be a good idea.

For the ladies that have gotten their periods - are you breast feeding?

Can't help you...yet!  I just got mine yesterday, and Brock is 10 weeks old!  I was a bit worried!  It is definitely feeling a bit different or maybe I'm just not used to having it for so long!  It is more painful than I remember!  I'm not sure how long it will last though.
