Phin met his great grandmother!

We took a trip to Maine this past weekend to visit my grandmother and to introduce her to her only great grandchild. It was wonderful. Phin was the perfect baby and was all grins and giggles for his Memere. This was the first time I have shown Phin off to a blood relative and it made me cry. To watch my son sleep in his great grandmothers arms was unbelivable and such an amazing experience. He stayed right on schedule with naps and feeding so I was a very calm momma through it all. Maine is 8 hours away and the first big trip we have taken with the boy.

AWWWW!!! That is great! Its a beautiful thing to be able to witness your grandmother holding your first baby and her first Great Grand Child!

That is awesome!!!  Leighton met my grandmother a few weeks ago and it was the best thing watching her face.  It's amazing to see that far of a generation gap together.

We are driving to Newport Beach in July (which is about 6-7 hours) and I am really worried we will be totally off schedule.  How did you do it?  Did you let him sleep while he was in the car or did you try and keep him awake to keep him on track?
