Shredding the LBs

ok - so I am working my butt off to get back in shape - I think I put on the most of our group ;-) but hey - loved every last cupcake and sweet. So every day I walk 5 miles with Hayden - I feel good and have dropped 37 lbs of my pregnancy weight. I want to go for another 20-25. I am sure after breastfeeding I will drop 10 just from my GIANT boobs (that as luck would have it - do not produce the amount of milk I would want for the size they are), so to help in my work out I just bought Jillian Michael's 30 Shred DVD - she is the trainer from Biggest Loser. Some friends say it is GREAT - 30 day challenge and only 22 mins per work out. There are 3 levels and you graduate levels every 10 days. Found this write up on it too from moms:

How are others doing with getting back into shape? Thank god it is summer and I can wear dresses that somewhat hide things.

I am also doing a boot camp that you do with your baby starting June 1 - it is 5 weeks and 2Xs a week - all focused on your core. We'll see how that goes.

Hey Jem....I am doing the 30 day shred too. After about a month I have finally worked my way up to level 3. I had to take it easy for a while due to the c-section. Now I am in full swing. The workout totally kicks my $%#. I love it. I am sweating bullets when I am done (I workout with a sweatshirt on too to burn more calories and sweat more). Some days I have enough energy I do level 2 & 3. I am hoping to someday do all 3 in one consecutive session. Anyway. I have only lost about 3 pounds since I have started (probably because my diet is still not quite back on track) but at least it is something...I guess. I have about 9 pounds to go to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight so I am hoping that Jillian can get me thru to my goal.

Have you done all the levels? Which is your favorite? On level 3 she talks about the "diet plan" is that anything you know about? I didn't notice any mention on the DVD...it is probably something separate to purchase.

Loved the website.

I gained 50 lbs and am still 30lbs away from prepreg weight...granted I am a lazy bum and I really don't like being outside in the summer. But I am starting up with weightloss pilates and getting back into playing with my Wii (the boxing games make ya' move!)

Ovaz & Jem you are doing AWESOME!

I have about 15 pounds left to lose.... that really ***** considering I gained 25 in the pregnancy!
My mother gave me an enormous giftcard to Banana Republic so now I have more incentive to get back into my size 4 pants..... stupid size 8 :(
Anyway- I get to return to yoga tomorrow! YAY! I am super excited- last night I tried on my old yoga clothes. The shorts fit fine, but I am going to have to find a different top because my boobs are way too big!

Alright... so I am the person who complains about how I want to lose the rest of this chunk, yet... I confess... I haven't done much to get it off.  I gained 39 lbs during pregnancy, have lost 32 of it, which leaves the 7 remaining pounds.

I checked into doing "Baby Bootcamp" where I live, but they meet 45 minutes from my house!  So, that is out of the question.  I checked into a gym membership at the gyms near my house and most of them are open 24 hours which is great for me, because I am a night time workouter.  But, have I joined one yet?  NOPE.

I am going to take a look at that website you posted.  Sounds like you are really motivated... I need some of that! hahah..
