Tuesday Updates

Hello Ladies! I have to say that I LOVE reading all your Monday Updates, but no one posted yesterday. So... I decided to start a thread today ;)

Mark will be 9 months old tomorrow. I will post his stats after his appt in the morning.

He has become really a lot of fun to play games with now. He loves to crawl away from me as fast as he can while I chase him. Peek a boo and patty cake are still his favorite games.

Upstairs we have all hardwoods and lately Mark has started bear crawling across them. It is so funny to watch him crawl with his bum in the air and feet on the ground! Man do I have an escape artist on my hands! The other day I walked out of the kitchen for one minute and I heard a small bump and then a little cry. I rushed back into the kitchen to find Mark had crawled out of his high chair (with the tray attached) and shimmied down to the floor! I have been buckling him in since then of course!

As for food I have discovered that he really like lima beans and, for a snack, Pirates Booty- it is made from rice and corn and it dissolves quickly in babies mouth.

Well that's about it!

Leighton is 9 mo and 1 week.  She is still sick with a sinus infection.  This is the 3rd week.  The z-pac didn't work so now she is on to some other drug.  I can't remember the name... anyway, my poor monkey! :(

Nothing really too crazy... she is getting better at standing without support, but definitely prefers scooting along the couch and coffee table.

I can't get this kid to clap!  We have done patty-cake from day 1 with her and she just won't do it!  haha... she slaps the backs of her hands and that's about it lol!  She does wave "bye-bye" though.  She is starting to "blow kisses" which is fun.  Other than that, no other tricks yet ;)

We went to go see the snowfall at an outdoor mall near us last Friday, which it turned out was dish soap bubbles.  Pretty cool, huh?  haha... that is what you call "snow fall" in the desert.  Despite it being pretty cheesy for the adults, the kids loved it!  Leighton kept putting her tongue out and eating the bubbles... I am thinking she say other kids doing it or something.  Goofy!

And yes... Pirate's Booty is veeeery tasty!

Amy-
You can get it in the health foods section at the grocery store, but it is pretty expensive there. We buy it at Costco because you get a 40 oz for $7.50 instead of 10 oz for $4

Blake was 9 months Saturday! She is HUGE. 22 lbs and 2 oz and 30.4 inches long!!! Needless to say I am busting out the 18 months clothes now. :)

This weekend we went to Branson, MO. It was our first family trip together! She loved it! She did really well on the trip there, most I think, because we hooked up the dvd player for her to watch Dora in the car. I wasn't thrilled about her just sitting there the whole time watching tv but it honestly was the best car ride ever with her. Also she remained in her original schedule...so maybe Dora helped her stay awake where she would normally sleep from boredom..I don't know. But we are going to do it on the next long trip!

We went shopping one day and she was a perfect angel! She just sat in her umbrella stroller watching everyone (there were tons of people to stare at!) and never made a fuss! She just ate it all up. Also we went to a diner where the servers sing and she was the hit of the diner! All the singers went to her to sing to her! She just would stare at them like a little queen or something. I can't explain it...she has this royal aire to her which is going to be just LOVELY whenever she turns 2...lol. (NOT looking forward to that..)

Where do I get this pirates booty??? Health food stores or do grocery stores carry it?

Phin is 9 months and a week. He is ever my happy boy. He rarely does anything but laugh and giggle and clap. He does not wave to people instead he claps for them...when they come or go it does not matter to him, he claps.

As I posted before, he is pulling up and is so funny about it. He will pull up and then just scan the room with his eyes like "Alright, what is there to see from here?" then he will drop down crawl to a different spot, pull up and re-scan the room from his new spot. I love my funny boy.

He discovered the coasters too. Ours are disks cut from tree branches to show the rings and grains of the wood and he loves playing with the. Yesterday though I watched him pull up, grab a coaster, look at it from all sides and then he put it back! I told him he was a very very good boy to pick up after himself. Last night he did it again in front of Chris and Chris was like "Are you giving him chores already?"

He had a play date with another little boy who is one day older than him (it is my friends son and we were 2 rooms apart from eachother in the hospital) Well Phin ended up being a bully! We were here at home so Phin did have the advantage over Gabriel but poor Gabe...Phin was pulling at his sweater and "petting" him on the head. Gabe isn't crawling yet so he couldn't get away from our little monster. No one was hurt and there were no tears and eventually Gabe warmed up to his new environment and started checking out Phin's toys. It was adorable and we plan to get them together more often (They live a bit of a drive away from us, 3-4 hours)

We are putting the tree up this weekend and I am quite nervous. We simply don't have room for a gate so it will be a lot of redirection tactics to keep him and the tree safe. We are going to anchor it to the ceiling and the wall just to ensure that none of our chihuahuas, cats and baby get hurt.

AFM-This is the last week of the semester for me and I am so excited. I just want to be a Mommy and wife for a bit without the "student" thrown in. I started decorating for christmas last night and Phin is enthralled with all the new shiny things he gets to look at. I have a large snowman collection so he has been lugging this musical snowman around by the head all over the place.

Jack will be 9 months on the 12th. I'll post his stats after his appointment on Thursday.

Jack has turned into such a happy little baby. I was worried there for a bit...all he did was cry and whine. Now all he does is laugh and growl this crazy little growl with a huge smile. It is really funny when he does it at strangers in the store. He loves riding in the shopping cart. We went grocery shopping today and ran up and down the aisles...he loved it. :) One of his new things in just the past few days is that he can now push his little cart. He really seems to like walking so we work on it a few times a day. Besides that his eating, standing (next to something of course), cruising, crawling, etc are all going well.

One semi-scary thing....Yesterday I found Jack playing with our TiVo remote (that kid is obssessed with remotes) when I took it away I found that the top button's plastic cover was gone. I am not sure if he swallowed it or not. I can't find it anwhere and he never has a coughing or choking fit. Jack has never been happier. So now I am constantly checking his poo diapers for the plastic object. I called the pediatrician and they didn't seem too concerned. They pretty much confirmed my instincs. Just to be sure I slept near his room last night incase he woke up with any pain. He slept just fine. I think the worse thing is that we are not sure if he actually swallowed anything. I guess if nothing comes out as of Thursday maybe the ped will have something to check him with to see if anything is actually inside...oye! I can't believe this happened. I am SO vigilant about everything in our place. I follow him constantly so he can explore without any major incident. Augh!

Carter will be 9 months on friday. Still no teeth. He usaully sleeps until sometime between 5-6am and then i bring him in bed with me. He usually just lays there playing with his "buddy" for up to 1 hour. I love this quiet snuggly time as he is SO busy all day (thought he does nap pretty well) He will not watch any tv and has to be doing stuff all the time so it is pretty tireing for mommy.
I am getting excited for Christmas, we got him the Little Superstar Jammin Band Musical Microphone. Its the only thing we got him because he will be so spoiled by my parents, I may go get a humidifer for his room and wrap the box so it looks like we gave him more lol.

Whitney - I LOVE pirates booty! YUM. Hayden is all better thank goodness! She has one day left of the baby zpack but her cold is pretty much non existent now. Boy it was a doozy. She is starting to fuss more when I am gone - and cries "mamamama" so I just have to find more social things for her to do so she doesn't get mommy anxiety when I am not there. I am taking her to the gym daycare today. OH and guess who was at my gym the day?? OPRAH! Kind of cool she works out with the regular people, right?

Hayden is doing a little "crab walking" now along the couch....and stands for a moment or two unassisted.

Feeding is still my cross to bear. Boy, is she picky!

she claps and waves all the time. She also LOVES being tossed into the air, giggles like no other.

Justice - did he try and EAT the sand? Hayden did when we were in Fla.

OH and I finally got a pic of her top tow of teeth, I will post it shortly.

I have to say I love reading the monday posts too, Its so amazing to see all the little and Big things our babies are doing now....

Noah turned 9 months on the 6th! He has his 9 month check up on Friday so I will update with stats then! He is doing great (besides his sleeping habits) he crawls SO fast now and loves it when we chase him, He is able to make it up all our stairs (which scares the ever loving c r a p out of me!) and he just seems to be his own little person so much more now... he will just cruise around looking for things to get in to. He loves to bang his hands on the table when I clap LOL he wont clap himself but instead hits his little hands on the table...He looks at me crazy when i play peek a boo with him LOL like Um mom what are you doing lol He loves to stand and scoot around on furniture and is just getting bigger and bigger, I was looking at him the other day and he was just so independent and i got a little sad... It seems like my little monkey is growing up so fast, no more cuddles and kisses, he just squirms to get down to get in to something LOL

Oh Noah had his first trip to the beach this last weekend and he was just so excited he was just screaming - He didnt know what to make of the sand lol he would just dig his little fingers in there and looked at me while giggling like WOW what is this stuff mom - Oh and He absolutely LOVED the Los Angeles Zoo, He saw aligators, monkeys, and tons of other animals!
