Weekly Weigh in

Last week some of us discussed doing a weekly weigh in to see how we were all doing on the weight loss front. Well, I guess I will start:

My weight this week: 140
Goal weight: 125
I exercised 5 out of the 7 days. Also I stopped eating chocolate licorice (my husband lovingly refers to it as my "crack"). I am trying to pump first thing in the morning so that my supply can rebuild after I get off the treadmill at night (don't know if that makes sense). My breasts always seem empty after I workout so I have my husband feed Mark after I workout.
For my birthday (on the 10th) my husband is buying me a year pass to Bikram Yoga- YAY! Once I start that I hope that the weight melts off as it did with my first.

Okay... Jem... paalez!  Don't be horrified at yourself :)  I am only 4'11 and weighed 161 lbs. when I was at the hospital.  So... proportionally... I was the heffer!!!  :P

And, no one is here to judge.  Just give eachother support on the daunting issue of losing the "baby weight".  And, from the sounds of it... we all have it :)

Jules... i am right there with you.  The love handles and belly are a little hard to handle.  Literally.  Can't wait until I can wear my pre-preg jeans without the "muffin top" spilling over.  Grrr...

I don't know my now weight.  I was 181 right before i popped, and about 135 to start (I am 5 10)  I know I lost a decent amount already but do not like my belly and love handles.  I have been walking with Mady everyday and started doing my hatha yoga CD from my teacher.  So hopefully that does the trick but if anyone finds something better please share!!!

ok I did not even want to put my numbers out there b/c I am HORRIFIED at myself - but you are my girls and will support me regardless...right??? ;-) Oh god - you will all think I am a heffer! Here goes... I usually look good at 140 (I am 5'8") - right now I am 176 -- ARGGG 36 lbs to go! I did take off 35 lbs already. But lately I seemed to plateau.

I walk every day about 4-5 miles and I am very active at home with cleaning and taking care of things. I do light weights and doing a baby boot camp for 5 weeks - which starts June 1. It is 2Xs a week. I am eating very light and healthy - so I hope this is just a short plateau.

I am going to start taking Bikram too - I called and spoke to a teacher who is nursing - but I am going to wait for Hayden to get to 12 weeks just in case it affects my milk supply.

Goal Weight: 115

Well I lost 30 pounds in the first week and a half after delivery...ever since then, though I have hit a MAJOR platau. I'm completely discouraged. However that has not kept me from working out. I use to do 30 minutes on the treadmill 4-5 times a week but since my doctor gave me the go ahead to workout I have been doing these 30 minute intense ciruit videos at home (I hate getting somewhere and Jack having a meltdown and having to leave). I am doing the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. I can only do the level one workout. I am either really out of shape or these workouts are very hard. It really kicks my butt. I do the workout 6 days a week. Next week I am going to step it up to level 2. My goal is to be able to levels 1-3 all in the same workout session. That would be over an hour of cardio, strength and ab work. I find it very similar to a 24-hour workout class I use to take a couple of years ago. If in the next week I don't see any weight loss I will combine my morning video with an evening run on the treadmill for an hour. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I am able to get into my pre-pregnancy jeans but some of them are hard to button. Mostly it is the extra flabby skin I have going on in the middle area...yuck!

That is cool you guys are into Bikram. I use to take classes a few years ago when I was working out before my wedding. I loved it and it felt soooo good afterwards. I just love sweating out all the toxins. We have a studio in my area too. These conversations have inspired me to maybe take a class a week or something. It would be a nice change of pace for a while.

Ovaz- I get so excited when I hear others talk about Bikram because I love it so much! Just remember that it is really difficult at first, but once you get those toxins out of your body and learn to ignore the heat it is wonderful- I am actually at a point where I don't think it is hot enough! I remember after my first class (5 years ago) I had a terrible migraine for 2 days because all the toxins were leaving my system.... it sucked. 5 miles a day sounds so intense- good for your husband, I am in the same boat as you- 1-3 miles a day is all I can manage.

Yay!  I am sooo glad that we are going to do this.  I just thought it would be great if we all had some support :)

Weight this week: 130
Goal Weight: 110 (by Sept.)

My physical activity everyday consists of a 1/2-1 mi walk in the morning, and a 1-2 mi walk in the afternoon.  I would like to start running w/ my husband in the morning (he runs 5 mi everyday... ughhh... I will get there eventually I guess!)   I really would like to do more, but just don't have the motivation yet :)  We are going to Maui in Sept. and Newport Beach in July... so I guess that SHOULD be my motivation!

WhitneyLauren... that's cute about your husband buying you a Bikram Yoga pass.  That is why my husband did for me in Jan. for my birthday.  I just haven't actually done it yet.  I have never done Bikram Yoga, only regular yoga, but so I hear through friends that it is amazing!
