thanks - this was a few weeks ago - all checked out and is fine. For any one else that may read this thread - basically discharge can change through out pregnancy. Unless it is accompanied by redish mucus or tint - it is usually not related to the baby - but to have it checked out can eliminate an infection. Just FYI!
If in doubt have it checked out. I too had that and two days later I delivered my baby prematurely. just have it checked could be nothing.. but it will give you piece of mind
Yep. Had the same stuff. Lovely isn't it? LOL I got a little worried when I saw it the first time, but there just wasn't enough of it to be anything abnormal I thought. What your doc told you sounds like what I had assumed as well--that it's just the extra muscus that your body is producing all over. Pregnancy makes me feel like a walking science experiment!
Yea! Good to hear... I was hoping all was good, figured it was, but it is always a fantastic feeling to hear it from your doctor!!
I saw my friends mucus plug when she went into labor...and there is NO mistaking that for normal pregnancy discharge. haha I am glad things are good though!
ha - just like that. I went to DR and she did an internal exam - sometimes they say this can be piece of the mucas plug that sheds - which keeps regenerating all through pregnancy. She did not think this was part of mucus plug though since everything was closed up there (cervix, etc). She said some people have more mucus than others - even sinus stuff and this is part of that. So not much to worry about - all looks good and baby was measuring great and heartbeat was strong (160). The consistency can change too - so I guess it is all normal. If my freaking out can help others - well good! Oh, she did say that when you shed something that is thick, mucasy with red in it - this is your mucas plug and usually means labor! So we can expect that later on if we are lucky ;-)
I have had the discharge you described as well...on and off for the past few weeks. Some of the old TTC thoughts flooded my head and I was like "OOH we're ovulating!" lol
Sorry... I am of no help! But, thought I would respond. I haven't had any discharge at all, but I agree with you... I would have made an appt. as well. I am sure that it is nothing, but better to get the clear from your doctor! :)
When is your appt.? Let us know what she says...
Oh... and please Jem... you are not the ever-paranoid mom :) I thought I was miscarrying 3 times the 1st trimester! lol
