Experiencing a high risk pregnancy?

How has your pregnancy been so far? What are your concerns? I am 18 weeks and have been passing out due to low blood pressure. I am considered high risk and have experienced pretty bad falls due to fainting spells. I see other women enjoying pregnancy but I can't help but worry all the time about passing out and am even feeling guilty for having this condition that could potentially harm my child. How are other high risk mommies coping with their concerns??

You should lay down every chance that you have and elevate your feet every time. The less often you have to worry about passing out, the less you should. At least a little.

I am high risk because the medication I take could make baby sick when she's born but I weened myself down to one pill a day and go to all my appointments and ultrasounds and baby is very healthy and happy and isn't showing any sighns of  being sick when she's born. So I just keep taking my vitamins and eating healthy and baby should be healthy and happy when born.good luck to all you other mommys.

I'm high risk because they found the baby had bright bowel on the ultrasound which could be nothing but could mean down syndrome, cystic fibrosis and many other things so I have to go for regular scans! as if pregnancy isn't worrying enough lol

I'm high risk due to incompetent cervix. Currently at 21 weeks 2 days. Had a cervical cerclage placed at almost 14 weeks. So far so good with this one, but I almost lost my son at this point during my first pregnancy (when they discovered my issue). High risk just means we all get to be extra careful. Best of luck to everyone!

Im high risk and 18weeks pregnant.
I have Lupus SLE , and they think bub could have downs syndrome also.
I am being closely monitored and weekly bloods as well as being checked out today for the thickness of my cervix.
The drs need to tell you why you are high risk so you are able to keep track if you need to keep your eye on something.

I'm considered high risk because my baby developed a neuroblastoma my last pregnancy. I see a specialist once a month for ultrasounds. They say odds are less than 1% it would ever happen again. But it's nice for piece of mind. I was more worried in the beginning but now that I'm feeling my little boy moving and kicking I've become less so. Plus, you have to enjoy the experience. Good luck to all the other high risk moms:)

I'm high risk as well but it's because of fertility problems.  Even though I'm finally pregnant they monitor me way more closely, I have an appointment about every 3 weeks just to make sure everything is ok with the baby. I try not to worry to much because I know that the stress is bad for the baby. I just eat healthy, take my vitamins and prescriptions, and focus on the happiness of growing my little miracle! #20+1.  Good luck my other high risk mommies!

High risk means for one reason or another they feel they need to monitor you and your babies development more closely throughout your pregnancy and even in childbirth. For instance I have sonograms and dr visits monthly with a team of doctors instead of one specific MD. You should find out what their concerns are for you. Hopefully all is well!
