c-section/vbac

Hello,

So I'm in my second pregnancy (16weeks), and was wondering if anyone has had a vbac. My first pregnancy was an emergency c-section and would like a vbac, only if there aren't too many complications. Any advice would be appreciated!

My girlfriend had a vaginal birth the first time. Our last was going to be a hypnobaby birth, but ended up being an emergency c section. She was breach the entire pregnancy. They tried turning her, but heart rate dropped. We are now going to try a VBAC/HBAC. There are good websites and videos out there that we researched. A set of videos by Ricki Lake were good. From our research, the odds are better if you had a vaginal birth before a c section.  Definitely do your research, and get father involved

Hey, I'm a vbacc baby. My mother's third child and they have really high risks. My mom had to have emergency hysterectomy due to scar tissue, bleeding and other problems from having a vaginal birth after a c-section be careful. You could ruin chances of future pregnancy.

Personally I have never had this problem. BUT, my mom had to have an emergency c-section with me (her 1st baby) and chose to go vbac with my brother and sister. Her doctor let her know about any and all risks, but was very supportive of her choice to try natural the 2nd and then 3rd time around. My mom always said she prepared 100% to have a natural birth, but always in the back of her mind, she was ready for another complication and a possible c-section if it was best for the baby. Hopefully your doctor will be supportive and I pray you have enough strength to go vbac! You can do it momma!

I'm also facing that choice, have had 1 c section with last pregnancy. I haven't decided yet either. My doc is basically leaving it up to me. She said the risk of rupture is low but I could also end up needing another c section. Just do your research and decide what you're comfortable with.
