Ok ladies, I know we had a post about things to pack, etc. My question is this...are you using the same outfit for your littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys one for pictures and coming home or are you packing two different ones?
i packed 2 newbornNewborn jaundice sized outfits, an extraExtra strength mylanta calci tabs Extra strength pain relief incase she poops or messes it. I also pakced a 0-3 month outfit incase she is big. to be honest they are all really cute so it doesnt matter to me which is ends up wearing for pictures. I packed all sleepers ( with feet) do you guys think I should pack a onesie or 2 for underneath? then there is the question of blankets, my book says pack a blanket which i did but maybe i should also pack a receivng blanket or 2? lol she;s going to end up with a suitcase!!
I am packing sleepers for Reece with feet and they also have the folded sleeve for mits. The nurse at the hospital suggested that or at least bring some mits. As for the blanket, I am bringing a receiving blanket to bring Reece home in for his car seat, but at the hospital I'm just using their blankets.
i havent started packing my bags yet... and there is only a little over 6 weeks left, IF they go ahead and take baby on May 29th like we have been talking about.
so i will keep checking and seeing what everyone else is doing...lol
i will probably wait to pack my bag til the last minute as i use most of the things that go into it... and i am hoping to know FOR SURE what i am having before then. IF i find out via 3D u/s on or around May 6th then that gives me until May 28th to get my bag packed and anything exchanged if it is needed.
i HATE waiting til last minute... lol
I am 'due' may 30th and already have mine packed and hers packed too. i went with the suggested stuff from the hospital and also my pregnancy books. so i do have anything and everything packed other then a car seat lol i don't have it yet. lol which is sad but i do have 6 weeks left right lol i know i don't i get my binder next weeks and have to have it with me. instead of getting it in 3 weeks.
i finished my packing of bags last night....:) and i got the car seat in the car last weekend so i think i;m good to go as long as i don't forget my hospital bag when its time lol
tarrah-
i am with on forgetting something...I have the carseat in the car just incase and everything else all together in one spot, but i'll probably still forget somthing :)
i keep intending to pack my bag and hubbies bag and never get around too it. i guess i should do that....hubby put the car seat in the car a few weeks ago, he was sooo excited!! i plan to use the sitz bath and shower as much as i can prior to the epidural so if you are too dont forget to pack dad some shorts!
As a mother of two, I can tell you from experience, better pack more than one outfit. Just as I was taking my son from the hospital, he had one of those "explosive" acciidents in his britches. While the nurse was trying to "shoo" me along, I said NO, I need a place to change my baby. I was certainly not going to try and change a newborn in the crowded small car I would be traveling in.
Even though he was born on the first day of Spring in Virginia, we had an odd snow storm of 4 inches the day I took him home. I sure was glad that I packed those thicker blankets.
I guess depending on where you live, and when you all are due, receiving blankets would probably be enough to keep your precious ones warm for the ride home.
Good luck to all of you and your precious baby's to come.....
