My husband is not actually away, but he works long shifts including nights. So I can totally relate to how you feel. when you are sick and tired, it's nice to have some one who cares for you around. Since my family is also living so far away it makes it harder. Do you have any close friends or family near by? May be you guys can sign up to skype or some thing so that you can talk to each other and see each other when ever you feel like :) Take care

hiya! im 27 years old and 5 years married. my husband works offshore for a year now, he gets home every after two months.. its difficult when he is away, in fact he is leaving again tomorrow for another project. and im not sure if im pregnant to our second baby. if ever, i will still continue to work. My work keeps me busy and i chat with friends whenever i get the chance. i love cooking and thats what i do for pastime. :)

My hubby is military also. We have just been posted to a new city and unfortunately I am not allowed to work here as preg women have to be away from children due to H1N1 prevention. I look forward to working as it keeps me busy and I have less time to worry about hubby while he is away. We are getting ready now for him to be overseas and travel alot until I'm due in March. Hang in there - you are not alone and although I have no idea how I am going to handle hubby away while I literally sit in this house in a new city with no one to keep me company I have no idea what I will do to keep myself busy.

Yes, it sux I know!! I love my hubs but his job takes him away often!! He just left again last week.. The day after he left I found out I was pregnant!! We are having complications, and it's hard to be here alone!! The best thing to do keep busy!! I used to travel and relocate with him, we would joke about which group I would join first- A great start is always a food kitchen, or red cross... they always need the extra hand and you need the extra friends!! Good luck..

Hi boots!

Yes, my partner travels here to Boston as much as possible. He works in Tampa, FLA and Munich Germany. He has yet to move here to Boston (visa issues as he is in process of  intercompany transfer to US which takes time).

Tough to go through this w/o him, so I understand.  I try and send him pictures, etc, and we talk on skype daily.

Glad the bleeding has stopped!
