Morning sickness going away too soon???

by K_Red, Oct 27, 2009 09:03PM
I am 40 and had a D&C on 30 June 2009.  I had my last period on 24 August and a positive pregnancy result at week 5.  By week 6 I was fiercely morning sick and wondering what to do so I tried sea bands and they worked like a charm.  I wore them for 4 days straight and the realised I didn't need them anymore at about 8 weeks.  Now I am 9weeks 3days and I barely feel sick at all.  I still have slight aversions and a lot of tiredness and dizziness, but not nausea.

Is this normal?  Is it casue to worry?  I am worried silly because I recently miscarried (at 9 weeks) and I have miscarrired before (at 11 weeks).  When I was pregnant with my daughter I was sick up to 12 weeks.  has anyone else had sickness reduce so early?

My nausea usually subsides around 10 weeks.  Right now I'm exactly 10 weeks and I can tell it's letting up, never that bad to begin with.  This trimester is the worst because we can't feel them moving so we're blind as t'o whats going on.  I have also had mc's so I understand the worry and I'm praying that my 12 week appointment will allow me to hear the hb.  Hang in there and try to stay positive.  You may just be lucky and your nausea is subsiding naturally.  Take care!

Was worrying myself sick so I went and got tests.  The doctor said that my body may be getting used to the hormones but it seemed unlikely to me.  The ultrasound found no heartbeat and it was 7 weeks in size.   At least now I know what is going on. :-(
They won't commit to a diagnosis yet and I am having another hormone test.  Maybe they just want to keep me having tests until I M/C naturally.
I guess I won't have a May10 baby now.

I'm so sorry for you.  I've been down that road more times than I care to remember.  This is my sixth pregnancy but only my second child.  I can never seemed to get attached, even now I'm scared about what might happen.  Hang in there and if you need to vent or talk, I'm here.

Thanks so much for your support.  This was my 5th pregnancy and I only have one child.  Maybe I will have my second for my sixth pregnancy.  Good luck for you and yours.
