Bladder control

Anyone have days where you just don't seem to have any control, I mean I don't even get any warning sometimes... I don't remember it this bad with the others.

well i have had 2 children since my first loss which was 20 weeks....and then my 6 yr old after my second loss... i think what has helped me with alot of it is that i waited awhile between the loss and the next child. the first one i lost dec 91 and had my daughter july 94 and the second loss was june 98 and my son was born june 02... so there is time in between.  and then my oldest son was born in jan 97

anyhow i decided to do what i wanted to do and so i have spent the day washing baby clothes and packing up the ones that i wont need for awhile (6 mo and more) and organizing the newborn stuff in a drawer.  i am hoping to pick up a dresser just for her, but if not it isnt a big deal, i will gladly share my dresser...lol

i also picked up a deal on ebay 4 large tubs of Huggies wipes and 2 bottles of baby wash for 14 bucks plus shipping  ... i might pick up more as it gets closer just because i use them for everything when i have them around...lol  i am thinking about picking up another pack of newborn and a box of size 2 diapers soon....then will only need another pack or two of size 1 to be set for a month or so anyhow... i think... lol

Wow girls....You are soooo much more prepared than i am.  We have the nursery painted and the flooring done, but don't have any of the furniture yet.  I really am trying not to buy too many clothes b/c i know we are going to get a lot from family at our showers etc.  I am really ready to get everything put together and ready for baby to get here, but i am trying to stretch dollars as far as they go, so i only pick things up on sale.  We have so many diapers and wipes though that i don't even know what to do with them all.  I feel better knowing that i atleast have that under control and i think everything else will come together in the next month or so.
Joyce-
You are being amazingly strong and I hope everything works out w/ you and your bf, but you have got to do what is best or you and your little one.  Hopefully he will come around and be the support system you truly need!

I have bought alot of clothes but havent washed any yet, mainly b/c her dresser isnt here so there would be no where to put it all, right now its all in my closet it bags. PLus i have bought so much that my sil was like dont take tags off till she can wear it b/c i could sell it on ebay or a consignment store if i did buy to much and she doesnt wear some stuff. She said it worth more with the tags on. I'll probably wash all my favorite things.I have a diaper bag but no its not packed. I think I'll leave that till closer too. I have bought diapers too I have 1 pack of newborns, 1 of size 1 and 1 pack of size 2. I am trying to use chlorine free diapers so I buy them when they are on sale.

well i usually dont buy much until after 20 weeks although i found a couple of really great deals on ebay when i was 8 weeks and went ahead and bought it..... i had 2 losses several years ago.... one at 20 weeks and one at 16 weeks.... i never felt movements with either of them, so once i start feeling life then i settle down a little and just get nervous if i go too long without feeling anything.

i just know that if i left it up to him that we would wait until 3-4 days BEFORE my c-section.... but then again i think alot of men are natural procrastinators.

Well I haven't bought anything at all... mainly because with losing the last baby I am a bit supersticious and will probably leave it all until 36 wks!  But I'm definitely nesting, because I have been doing some major cleaning, so you're not alone there.  I think you're well prepared and good for you, it's a good way to be!

mandy thank you.... i will be having a c-section and such so am trying to not "get rid" of the issue before then, as i know i will need his help especially til kids are out of school.  although yesterday he said that he gets tired of looking at numerous items like cribs or bedding sets.... he said if i like it get it and if he doesnt like it he will have to get used to it or at least deal with it....lol.... couldnt have said it better myself.

how many ppl have already washed baby clothes (i will have baby either june 1 or june 5) and gotten diaper bag packed, ect....? am i pushing it a bit? is it too early? i dont know i just feel like i HAVE to get these little things done so i know it is done the way i want them done. maybe it is nesting setting in already, i dont know.

i know i have bought 1 pk of newborn diapers (do you think that will be enough?) and 2 pk of size 1 diapers.... and he kinda rolled his eyes at me. i mean sheesh we have to get ready at SOME point...lol

He could be suffering from depression, I know my husband was a bit like that when he was out of work for a bit, or he could be in a rut, now you will be the best judge of that!  Men can only be supportive to a point, ultimately we have to get on with it.  Concentrate on you and that little one and if it were me I would give him an ultimatum, get his act into gear or he can support himself!  Sorry if that's not what you want to hear but I have a hard time tolerating sulky men, after what we have to go through!  If it is depression then he needs to get a daily routine, a reason to get up and go to bed early.  And no Joyce you are not selfish at all!!

lets see....because my bf hasnt worked in awhile....not only did i not recieve a bday gift(sept) or a christmas gift but i didnt get a valentines gift either....i think he may have said 'happy vday' in passing as he was on his way downstairs to his computer....but other than that...nothing.  and today (after being in bed all day yesterday cause i was constantly throwing up-24 hr virus or something) he has been in bed most of the afternoon. he stays up into the wee hours of the morning watching movies on his computer and then sleeps alot of the day....

sorry to rant.... just trying to say that those of you who have supportive so's that you are very lucky and i only hope mine comes around.  he doesnt want to really buy anything for baby or set anything up for another couple of months (i am already 24 weeks) so i really dont know what to do except since it is technically my money....as long as bills are paid to do whatever i feel i need to do. am i being selfish, do you think he will come around????

lol i was born with bladder issues and so this isnt real new, but it has gotten worst lately. up 2-3 times a night again and if i dont go when/if i feel the urge then i know i am bound to get another UTI. throughout my childhood i would have bladder infections every other month it was NO fun.  so i know what to expect if i have a bladder infection or UTI coming on. lol
what is horrible is when you are walking around walmart and it(having to pee) hits fast and hard...lol sometimes it gets where i'm not sure i am gonna make it to the bathroom before there is a issue...lol
anyhow you are SOOOO not alone
kiki that is sooo funny about jeremy.... would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.

LOL I was at Wal~Mart with Jeremy and I picked up panty liners, he was looking at me puzzled, almost afraid to ask, so I ignored him, a few minutes later he said UM why are you buying those! I laughed and said b/c I have been dribbiling! He said so your just gonna wear one of those all the time! UUHHH DUH, I don't want to pee in my panties! He got red and I laughed at him, luckily mine has been better so I havn't had to wear them but a couple of times!

Like I said, FUN TIMES FUN TIMES!

I guess I jinxed myself by saying yesterday I wasn't at this point yet.  Last night was getting ready for a shower and didn't think I needed to go to the bathroom, you know...didn't feel like I did.  Anyway, I sneezed and there it was...dribble down the leg.  Luckily, I was on my way to the shower...butI definintely didn't see it coming!!!!

I've had this most of my pregnancy this time.  Since my son was born, my bladder has never been quite the same.  A couple of times I've even lost a lot of urine, to the point that it is visible on my pants, so I've started carrying a spare!

mandy- um dont worry you are not alone. there are times when i sneeze and pee a bit. its not cool at all! and the last time i threw up (migraine) i totally peed my pants, my hubby had to get me clean panties and jammies. I was embarrased at first but really its not my fault, this baby likes to bury her head in my bladder so any slight pressure and there i go..........LOL

I haven't gotten to that point yet, but I've been told it's coming soon by my OB.  She kept telling me at my last appointment that I will get to the point where I won't have time to get to the bathroom, so go frequently...The joys!!!!
