percentile at 28wks

I went for my 3d ultrasound and with it I got a mini report.  Baby weighs 3lbs and her percentile was at 71%.  What does the percentile mean exactly, is she too big or just ok?

Well, Reece was in the 78th percentile for his weight at my 24w4d appointment.  Like Kiki explained to me when I was freaking out about that...50th percentile is right on the money, so our little ones are a little over average.  I can't wait to see how he is in 2 weeks when I go for my 4D ultrasound

I think 71 is above average but not the highest.  I had a scan today and my little one is on the 97th centile (the highest) for her legs and off the chart for her waist!  Now they reckon the baby is going to be big and possibly because I have diabetes.  I rearranged my test date for Monday, so we'll see.  If she carries on this way, they said I will be taken in early, but I think it's a growth spurt!
