If the babies heart rate is 15 and above???

I had a lil girl bak in march of 2008 and her heart rate was always between 135-140. I am now currently pregnant with my second child and the heart rate has been between 150-168. I am trying to figure out if it is a boy or a girl?? I go back to the doctors dec.18,2009 to find out what it is but it would be nice for some feed back...

My baby's HR has always been between 150-160 on the doppler, and we just found out that its a BOY, so he apparently didn't listen to the old wive's tale!

I love this old wives tale! I find myself listening on my doppler to the heartbeat and analysing whether it will be a boy or girl. My daughter was around 160, and this one is 150. They say that if it is under 140 it will be a boy and above 140 it will be a girl. Unfortunately, studies have been done that show that this is not true, and there is no correlation between heart rate and gender. Only in labour the two genders separate as the heartrate of a baby girl increases during this time.
