Heat is a killer

This is sad... its a BEAUTIFUL 67 degrees outside... but the AC went out at work and its 90+ degrees INSIDE. Ive called our "maintence" people but were looking at 2+ days before anyone will come. Im feeling nausous and woozy... the only relief we have is going outside or into the cooler - I work at a gas station.

Anyway my coworker is nervous that this situation could send me into labor. Is there any possibility of that or is she just making me paranoid? Im drinking a ton of fluids to beat the heat.

glad it went away but yes be careful in the heat and with us being pregnant we are more prone to getting it rather than if you were not pregnant. i am in nursing school and from what we were told and the patient follow up we did, sometimes we sweat entirely too much and if it were to be heat exhaustion and was not taken care of it could lead to a heat stroke and if water isn't helping as much as it should try drinking a gatorade, sometimes gatorade is actually better for you in the heat than the water bc of the electrolytes in it. but glad you are doing better!

cramping in the legs is one of the signs of heat exhaustion that i know of bc of nursing school right now plz drink lots of fluid sit down for a bit and stay cool no matter what you do.... if any of it gets worse go to the hospital and plz be careful.

Well the company surprised me! After 5 hrs of sweltering heat we got a visit from maintenance. He saw me - waddling a sweating like an effing pig - and didnt even hesitate in looking into the problem. We had 2 fans running and still was getting homicidal me with hormones and her being understandably uncomfortable lol. But he managed to fix the AC finally and omg it feels soooo much better. My legs are still cramping up from the heat and Ive been sitting for a few minutes every hr. My coworker is staying over though cause she doesnt think I should be alone even if just an hour <3 I totally could hug her but I dont want to scare her lol

I don't know about early labor but you could easily get heat exhaustion or heat stroke so take extra care and make sure you are staying hydrated and do anything you can to try and keep yourself cool.
